This is a journal for Trysk to use as she coaxes her Fenthry out of its feather and has lots of fun adventures with it.

Please don't post here unless Trysk has given you permission!

Mika
The feather suddenly pulls away from Trysk, floating delicately toward the night sky far above, as though trying to touch the stars over their heads. The feather slows to a stop, outlined by the night sky, before twirling down toward the ground. As it makes the slow descent, a bright light envelops the feather...and a child, barely four inches tall, falls gently onto the ground. The delicate stripes on her arms and the delicate pink tips on her wing feathers simply add to her charm.
Introduction

I first discovered the Gaian Fenthry Preservation Society when I stumbled upon the shop by accident. At the time, there were no new Fenthry feathers being sold, but instantly I knew I had to have one. That day, the shop owner Louhi told me the story of how she came about the lovely magical creatures. Needless to say, I was amazed. Could you imagine, an evil sorceress keeping those special feathers in her old hats?! For shame! Luckily, Louhi was able to spot a special find when she did.

Eventually, after checking the shop everyday for newly adoptable feathers, I peeked in one afternoon and saw the most beautiful feather I had ever seen. Somehow, I could feel it calling to me. After staring at it in a sleepy daze, I looked up and asked Louhi if the feather was for sale. My lucky day, it was. And so begins the story of Mika the Fenthry ...

Here is a list of friends Mika has made.
Entry 1

Well, my first few days with Mika have been wonderful. She's grown a lot quicker than expected. On Canada day there was a big festival just outside my apartment. They closed off the street and had shop booths, live bands and all kinds of other entertainment. During the day, I set Mika (in feather form) on her pillow right by the window so she could hear all the music. She must have enjoyed it because I caught her twitching every once in a while.

It must have had some effect because today she suddenly became a child! And WHAT a child, she is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. So far she hasn't said anything, which is to be expected, but loves it when I stroke her soft little back and head. She smiles and makes a cute purring sound.

I couldn't be more excited.
Entry 2

I took Mika to the park this afternoon and I think she really enjoyed herself. I packed us some food and set off with her happily perched on my shoulder. When we got there she was a little apprehensive about all the other people also enjoying a warm and sunny day at the park, but with a few reassuring words from me she settled down.

First, I decided to take her for a walk through the forest paths. She really enjoyed listening to all the different bird calls and even tried to imitate a couple. Instead she made cute little chirping sounds which we both found very funny.

After our walk, we settled down under a tree and ate our lunch. Crackers and honey for Mika, tuna sandwich for me. I let her smell my sandwich to see if she shared my love for tuna, but she made a disgusted face and 'pfft'ed at me.

Lastly, we took a trip over to the duck pond. Mika had fun throwing bits of bread I had brought into the pond for the ducks. She thought she'd try and join them, but put one toe in the water and decided it was a little too cold.

Hopefully, I'll be able to take her out again soon. Perhaps to the Zoo?
