Personality: Kes is happiest in the sky and only walks when he has to or is too tired to continue by wing. Where there is trouble you are sure to find him in the middle of it, due to his mischievous behaviour and quirky remarks. He craves friendship and makes it his number one priority to see that the people around him are happy. This often leads to him hiding his own sorrow and fears and makes him appear as nothing but a joker. Kes is an adventurer at heart and will stop at nothing to reach his goals, often motivated by memories of his father. His heart is large enough for everyone and he doesn't normally hold grudges against others, even those who have gone out of their way to hurt him. The only time he seems to be serious is in the face of real danger or when he is playing the harp. Some people may find his up-beat attitude annoying but he never let's anything get him down. If there is a bright side to the situation Kes will always discover it and point it out to his friends.

Cledar: The Bird Mages. Makers of music and Songs of Power. Generally cunning and quick-witted. Their music has the ability to create or destroy, to open portals to other worlds, and to transport humans unwilingly to the Realm. After the War of Westering, the Cledar were transformed into birds of all shapes and sizes.

Distinguishing Features: Wings

Arno Waltiri is the leader of the Cledar, though his humanoid form is long since gone, and he remains locked semi-permanently in his bird form, a large raven with a yellow bill and red-rimmed eyes.

European Kestrel: These birds of prey - as their name suggests - live in europe, a common sight in fields and even gardens. They often prey on mice and smaller birds that they can find in the crops or in trees. They have a shrill cry and distinct speckled markings, the male of the species is adorned with a blue crest. What makes them even more well known is their skill in flight, being able to hover for long amounts of time and dive with fatal speed. Their wide tails and slender wings make them extremely manoeuvrable and athletic.

Summary of personality: A cheerful youth, always looking for adventure and fun. Constantly chattering and smiling he might be an annoyance to some people. He has a naivity which may also make most frown at him, and his simple way of thinking is driven by his love of peace and tranquility. Yet due to his happy-go-lucky ways others tend to underestimate his strengths, this could prove fatal to them in the future. He has a very clear moral sense, knowing the difference between right and wrong, and due to this he has vowed to help others see this too.

Current obsessions: Art, especially pencil drawings. Anything cute and fluffy, archery and the rain.
Appearance: Long brown wavy hair comes down to just above her waist, usually pulled back in a pony tail to keep it out of her eyes when working. She is tall, at about 5'8 and has a lean figure. Her blue eyes are set in a delicate but pale looking face. She is often seen wearing black fingerless gloves and male clothing, she is a complete tom boy.
Personality: Kimaria is a kind and very caring young woman, she loves the countryside and wildlife that surrounds her cottage. Yet she does like to be alone, and although she has a few good friends she's not too good at meeting new people and can be rather shy at times. Peace and quiet is something she also thinks highly of, being a writer she likes silence. Although at most times she is calm, certain things annoy her. She is a pacifist and hates the thought of war and people harming each other, death upsets her greatly. She also has quite a temper, flaring up when something irritates her or upsets her, she often uses her anger to mask the sadness she really feels inside.
History: She left her mother and father, as well as her two brothers back in the town when she was 17 and left for the countryside as soon as possible, wanting to find a haven where she could be left alone.
Her childhood was a normal one, the odd arguments with her family and clashing of personalities with her father. She cared a lot for her mother and thinks highly of her, both of them sharing a kindness which made them close.

Occupation: Apprentice carpenter/Kes' Uncle
Nicknames: Lace, Lu
Age: 20
DOB: 7th August
Current Obsessions: Computers, playing the guitar.
Appearance: Locks of dark brown hair fall into blue eyes, he is the tallest in the family, lean and very athletic. His clothes are usually casual, even if they are a little torn up in places and spotted in paint.
Personality: A lot like his sister Kimaria, he is a very kind hearted person, it would take a lot to get him angry. He is not at all the violent type and is a cheery person, not at all shy or timid as his older sister. He likes to offer his services to help, and being a carpenter is rather handy at the household DIY, this is often the reason why Kim invites him round. Yet he also shares his father's flare of temper and sometimes does use his fists when it is needed.
History: When his sister left, Lucian decided to start his career as an apprentice carpenter, learning skills and being able to meet lots of people by doing so.
