Introduction
Welcome! You've stumbled upon Mamu's Children, a nursery/kennel for all kinds of Canids. Mamu is the name of a -busy- aboriginal dingo spirit. All the pups here have dingo blood in them from their father, who roams the world freely and leaves all sorts of canine mothers in his wake. And when I say all sorts I mean all sorts. This ladies dog has discovered several breeds of fantastical canines previously unknown to man. He knows how to sniff 'em out. 3nodding
Why not take a look around?
Mamu's children, as most of you know, are generally simple pets. They only grow from pup to adult and as a result cost less and are more available than other pets. I charge you less for less trouble for me. HOWEVER since these guys only have two stages it's not too much work to make an entire new species. Thus new species will be introduced frequently.

General Species

Here's a look at our more common pups.

Dingos(1k-Random 1.5k-Custom): The most common pups you'll find here are 100% dingo. Dingoes have a lean build and are a sandy color with white points. They can differ in hues from red to yellow. On occasion a dingo is born black with tan points. Dingoes are naturally timid and very conscientious of themselves. They communicate to eachother through yelps and barks; a little known fact about dingoes is that they don't howl.
When grown, most dingoes settle down with a hunting pack but some stay loners their whole lives.

Bitzers(1k-Random 1.5k-Custom): Bitzers are pups mothered by different breeds of dogs. The word 'bitzer' is Australian slang for mutt. As their mothers have been domesticated bitzers are usually more docile than wulvos or dingoes. Their intelligence is slightly lower, but the sheer variety of their markings makes up for it.
Grown, bitzers can have different kinds of frames ranging from heavy to slim. They don't need to be in a pack to feel secure, but almost always prefer to have a companion, rather than being alone.

Wulvos(1kRandom 2k-Custom): Wulvo is a codename for a half dingo half wolf pup. Each wulvo has a unique personality. Some are naturally dominant while others can be very meek. With all the coloring possibilities of of wolves with a few more thrown in from their father, wulvos can have some beautiful coats. Unlike most of their dingo brothers wulvos howl to communicate.
Pack animals from pups, most wulvos have an instinct to make careful bonds with others that kicks in very early. Though many have their phazes, it is very rare that a wulvo will stay alone it's entire life.

Rare Species

Looking for something a little different? Our rare species have more color possibilities and unique features. They are also a more open to customizations. For an extra 50-300G you can request an unusual patters such as flames, glyphs, tattooes, stripes, on your canine.

Merpups(1.5k-Random 2.5-CustomG): Playful and fun, merpups branch from a bizarre species of merdog. Merpups have webbed front feet. Their back legs are shorter than their forelegs so when on land their gait is loping, much like a sealion, and they can't go very fast. Most prefer to stay near water most of the time. They don't have gills but breathe air as other canines do. They have sleek skin with very short fine fur to make them more hydrodynamic, and come in all sorts of colors. Many have brilliant rainbow patterns.
As they grow older their bodies change drastically, becoming more elongated and balanced; almost on the scale of a tadpole changing to a frog. Practically from birth they hate being alone, with no one to share their fun with.

Birddogs(1.5k-Random 2.5-Custom): Fiercely loyal and intelligent, bird dogs are the only pups with wings. They are born with wings cantt fly until they are adults(the wings dontt begin to grow dramatically until adolescence) Birddogs have thick coats and so they prefer cool temperatures to warm. They come in various colors. Most are different combinations of white, gray, blue and/or purple but other colors are not uncommon.
Many birddogs tend to be solitary, or have loose attachments, but others feel a need to join and form packs as they grow older.

Baphos(1.5k- Random 2.5k-Custom): Baphos are the rarest canines found here. They have horns and hooves on their back legs. Known to be impish , Baphos use their sly wit to amuse themselves with little regard for others. They have immaculate balance and they need it in their natural habitat of mountain sides and quaries. Their coats echo autumn foliage and are usually mixtures of brown, gold, red, orange, purple and/or black.
Baphos are very volitile, and their short temper makes it hard for them to stay in one place, or have a relationship with one animal too long. However there are always exceptions.

Limited Edition?*

I haven't yet decided what my policy will be for the occasional new species. I'll probably only give them away in auctions, and eventually retire them. But every time one comes out I'll have a sort of limited autobuy in case someone's really eager. xd

User Image

Fenines(2k-Random 4k-custom; Limited Edition): Fenines are strange mixes between conflicting species(oh MY, Mamu! xd ) that come in all sorts of colors. Also nicknamed cat-dogs, they inherit most of the feline personality and grace though their bodies are bigger and more wolfish. The males are often egotistical, and the females often coquettish. They can be quite self-centered, but find ways to worm themselves into the hearts of others.
Always mercurial, fenines may crave attention one moment, and want complete solitude the next. This makes them hard to live with, as even as adults they are subject to moodswings.

Breeding Information/Growing up

Breeding

Of course, these adorable pups will grow up, and reach sexual maturity. When they are adults, they may breed, of course. But, only when they are adults. These creatures breed for life, and if a pair breaks up, neither of them will breed again. There is no limitation to the breeding of the pair, but there will be only 2-5 pups per litter.

The pups will be split up between owners...any extra pups that seem to hang off are decided between the owners of the parents. If one owners owns both breeding parents, they get all the pups. The pups may be: 1. Put into a raffle (Permission needed.) 2. Sold for a certain amount of gold. (Permission needed.) 3. Given away. 4. Auctioned. (Permission needed.) If you have any other ideas, dont hesitate to ask me about it.

Note: Yuri/Yaoi is allowed. But there has yet to be a way to breed those pairings.

Growing up

When your pup grows into an adult, there will be cert backgrounds. Three you may choose from.

User Image

When your pup grows, I will PM you and post it in the thread. If you dont choose a background within two days, I will choose for you. x3

Breeding FAQ

When can my puppy breed?
When it reaches adolescence it reaches sexual maturity.

How long will it take for my pup to grow up?
After three to six weeks they reach adolescence.

Hello? These things all have the same father! How can they breed?
First off dogs don't think like you or me. It's not taboo to mate inside the family. Furthermore Mamu's not exactly their biological father. More of a spirit. Like Adam and Eve are to us.

Rules/Roleplay

Rules

exclaim No whining for a pup.
exclaim No PMing me or Tweek for a pup.
exclaim If a pup/adult is up for adoption, post in the thread about it.
exclaim Do not bother owners to give you a pup if they breed/give you their pup.
exclaim Do not flame/spam/bump this thread please...you may speak with people, just..no 'bump'. ^^;
exclaim No items will be accepted, unless it is an Auction. All items are accepted at Mid-GEN
exclaim If you cause trouble, you will be given one warning.
exclaim Do not harass people in this thread.
exclaim Do not steal art, der, it is not mine. I will hunt you down, though.

Roleplay

Roleplay is not required, but it is fully acceptable and loved. It's a fun way to make friends for your pups, meet other owners, and even get a mate for your Pup. The Mamu lands are made up of Mountains, Forests, Lakes, Streams, almost anything you can think of. It is vast, and in every way a nice place for the pups to live in and grow.

You may start packs...This would apply more to the Dingoes and Wulvos, though all breeds may make packs if they wish. It wont be official, but still important in their lives. Ranking and other such things will be developed, and probably tighter bonds between pack members...loners normally have difficulties getting food and other such things.

Rules for RP:

1. No godmoding. We all know what it is...
2. Fighting is allowed, but no killing. Those who try to kill another will have their pup taken away.
3. If you are not an owner, you can RP any other sort of animal that isn't a canine/feline. Rabbits, birds, deer, etc etc.
4. There are villages close by, where the 'owners' live. They dont interact much with humans, but sometimes they run across them.
5. Keep all RP PG-13.
