I am currently in the process of writing a story. This is something I've had on my mind for a while, and have only recently started to get it out. You may read it
here at the Church of Mod, in a handy, easy-to-read format.
I also post the chapters first in my
LiveJournal and my
deviantART, though those are harder to read straight-through unless you have a lot of patience. The chapters in my LiveJournal also have comments from those who have read the story from the beginning, and my deviantART has a sort of "Director's Commentary" before each chapter, as well as the option of having artwork at the top of each entry.
To not be spoiled by comments or the commentary, I'd suggest reading it first at the Church of Mod.
Anyway, I really, really,
really want artwork for this story. Character reference sheets, chapter illustrations, weapon details, landscape scenery; anything and everything. Be creative, but please keep it canon to my story. If there are ANY questions at all about any details, feel free to ask. I have the entire thing in my head, and I'll be glad to share any part of it with you all.

Name: Allison Gabrielle Roberts

Guidelines for drawing:
Allison's hair is straight, and slightly below shoulder-length; she usually keeps it down. She tends to wear earthy colors; greens, browns, blues, and greys. She has a locket with an etching of a tree; she never takes it off. Her ears are not pierced, and she usually wears no other jewelry
Her "civilian" look is usually a loose-fitting T-shirt and well-worn jeans, with well-loved sneakers (read: beat-up, scuffed, scratched, etc.).
Usually when training, or when she is fighting, she wears a sleeveless black shirt; rough, faded black jeans; black boots; black, fingerless gloves; and a red "utility" belt, with various pouches and clips for items. From time to time, she adds a red vest to this outfit.
Her sword is of her own design; a western, almost Celtic style longsword that is sheathed in a baldric. The sheath has a faux-wood covering, and the hilt is fairly plain, with a light leaf pattern on the crossguard. She designed it to be simple yet elegant, with none of the flashiness of her
family sword.
As the Earth Guardian, Allison is very proficient with Earth-aligned magic. She can control stone, dirt, and vegetation with ease. She also has limited experience with healing magics, though for any major injuries she needs to take power from an outside source.
Allison is right-handed.

Moryera's hair is very long, straight, and a bit on the thin side. She tends to wear it down. She usually dresses in light, flowing clothing, with most of her wardrobe being bright, cheerful colors. She wears glasses.
Post-transformation:
After the metamoryphosis, her hair is somehow shorter. It is slightly longer than shoulder-length, and very feathery. The color has lightened considerably to a very pale violet-blue, more of a lilac. It naturally has a "wind-swept" appearance. Her eyes are now an icy blue, and her face is a little bit more defined, with a slightly regal (and somehow avian) air. She no longer wears glasses.
When enraged, her features take on a slightly more feral look. Her fingernails extend slightly to sharpened claws (think
Inuyasha), and she is able to move with cat-like speed and grace.
After the transformation, Mory dug through her wardrobe and made some changes. She still favors the lighter colors, including white, but now opts for a slightly more form-fitting look, wearing clothing that does not impede her range of motion. Tank tops and jeans, mostly.
She has since recieved Allison's family's sword as her own. A detailed description of it can be found

Weston keeps his hair fairly short, though not close-cropped. He usually keeps a beard of varying style; currently it's in a shaggy goatee. He tends to wear lots of grey and brown, though he has a few fairly colorful outfits stashed away for special party occasions.
He usually has his guitar (acoustic) with him, until it got smashed in a fight.
Weston is right-handed.

Guidelines for drawing:
William, as a fox demon, is able to change his shape at will, though every transformation is not a perfect one; he leaves some aspect of his true form intact.
Kitsunes age slowly, at roughly half the rate of humans. His human form appears seventeen.
In each of his forms, he has silver hair or fur. His "full-fox" form is convincingly a normal fox, with the exception of his fur.
His human form has silver hair and eyes, and he tends to provide himself with artfully ripped and worn out clothing; he thinks the punk look is "cool".
When relaxed around his family and friends that know his secret, he assumes his "true" form; a shorter, human-shaped fox, with animal features but human-like expressions. Sometimes he wears clothes in this form, sometimes he does not.
William can also transform himself into various weapons to aid his family and friends in fights. He has two favored forms in "weapon-mode", a wicked-looking
naginata, and a comically-oversized repeating heavy crossbow that he calls the "Harkonnen".
William is ambidextrous.

Name: Gendou
Age: Unknown

Guidelines for drawing:
Gendou wears his hair fairly long, and it usually covers the left side of his face. That side of his face, if the hair was not obstructing the view, is scarred and torn, with a long vertical scar running through his left eye. The eye itself is a solid, milky white.
His right eye is a glowing, burning red.
He tends to wear bulky, black clothing, which somehow does not obstruct his movement at all. Aside from his face, his pale skin is completely covered; he usually wears a long black overcoat, tall black boots, black leather gloves; black pants. During the day, he wears stylish sunglasses.
Gendou is the reincarnation of the Dark Lord, and thus is always covered in shadows. Part of his power is always visible, swirling around his hands and feet, or usually behind his back. He can shape the shadows any way he wills, and can even make it tangible. He can teleport at will by dissolving into a shadowy mist.
Gendou fights with his shadow magic, and can form the darkness into katanas. He can fight with one blade or two, depending on his mood. He can also shape his arm into a long, armored, demonic claw.
Gendou is ambidextrous.

Secondary Characters:
Kyraa
A longtime friend of Moryera, Allison, and Weston. She constantly is bombarded with prospective suitors, which she foists off onto her friends when she can. She is a bit shorter than the others. Her hair is reddish-brown, short, and very curly. She always wears very feminine clothing, which always matches. She loves playing dress-up.
Kia
A lovable stray kitty. Kia is a black cat, fully-grown, who has a wonderful memory for those who feed her. There is a scar across her right eye, which is permanently closed - presumably gouged out in a fight with another cat.
Ananel
A priest whose real intentions are still unknown. He was the drummer in Weston's band, but left mysteriously to perform a failed ritual. He is very tall and dresses in all black, including a wide-brimmed black hat. He's usually reading a book of some sort.
Lichlord Nazushette
The Lord of the Shadows. Nazushette is the ruler of all Dark creatures and magics; he has control over Darkness itself, as well as the powers of Death. A skilled necromancer. An Immortal.
Nazushette stood well over six feet tall, and wore robes that were black as night. His skin was deathly pale, though smooth and healthy in its own right. His hair was long and black, his eyes glowed a bright red. He carried an ebony scepter, topped with a human head. He is constantly surrounded by darkness; it swirls around him at all times.
His soul is currently merged with Gendou's, and thus has been reborn.
Valkyrie Queen Xalenthia
Ruler of the Light. She is the Queen of all Light creatures and magics; she has control over everything in her realm. Her combat prowess is unrivaled, save for that of Nazushette, her rival, and her equal. An Immortal.
Xalenthia was of average human height, and possessed a terrible beauty. Her features were at once regal and feral; in her presence, one can easily understand that she could kill without a second thought, and would take pleasure in it. Her hair was a brilliant white, and her eyes an icy blue. She regularly wore a gleaming white chestplate, but left her arms bare. Underneath she wore a shortened toga, which did not hinder her movements when she needed to be swift.
Her soul currently resides within Moryera.
Fire Guardian
The last remaining member of the Fire clan. A direct descendant of the High Fire Mage, the Guardian has been trained in
ninjutsu. She wears all black, but keeps her head uncovered. Strapped to her back is a
kodachi, the blade having been painted a matte black, and the sheath is black with a golden etching of flames. She has short reddish-brown hair and brown eyes.
Water Guardian
The last remaining member of the Water clan. A direct descendant of the High Water Mage, the Guardian was trained in the ways of the
samurai. He wears loose-fitting civilian clothing; usually a blue wave-patterned Hawaiian shirt over a white t-shirt or tank top, and loose pants. He is rarely seen without his sunglasses. He has a simple yet elegant
katana, worn at the waist when he expects trouble. He has long blond hair (with dark roots) and blue eyes.
Wind Guardian
The second-to-last remaining member of the Wind family. A direct descendant of the High Wind Mage, Weston's uncle Ralph had kept himself close to the Earth family and the Descendant's family, though he hid his true identity from all of them. The Wind family had seperated themselves from the others three generations ago, opting to take a more....
observant role. The other Guardians at the time were not pleased with this idea, so the Wind family hid themselves so well that they were presumed lost and destroyed forever.
Weston's uncle trained him in combat, sending him to the Earth Guardian's family for weapons training, though the Earth Guardian at the time (Allison's mother) was under the impression that it was simply another paid teaching role.
The Wind Guardian has brown hair, blue eyes, and is in his 50s.
Clan Mother LeMoru
Also described as "the pissyfox" (but only behind her back), LeMoru is the matriarch of the kitsune clan. Her natural fur color is red, though she keeps a constant illusion activated that gives her blue hair in human and semi-human form. Her fur also has a raccoon-like black patch around her eyes, which she forms into a mask in human form. She is incredibly violent and prone to mood swings. Her many residences are littered with the bodies of small animals, in case she gets hungry in the middle of the night.

Tertiary (Minor) Characters:
Andrew
A lech, a con, a wanna-be Casanova. Tends to "dress to impress". He makes a show of compassion and romance, though always ends up talking about himself. His worst fear, for some reason, is to be impaled with a pipe during an explosion of some kind.
Mrs. Thorne
Moryera's mother. She has mid-length brown hair and glasses, and tends to dress in the "comfortable casual conservative" range. Has a rather abrasive sense of humor, especially concerning her daughter's love life, or the apparent lack thereof.
High Mage, Earth
Gabriel MacRae grew up as nobility in Scotland. He inherited his powers from his father, and they were the strongest family in the land. He was sometimes referred to as "The Geomancer". He ascended to High Mage at the young age of 32, and was a benevolent leader.
Gabriel had long red hair and a red goatee. He wore regal robes of a deep forest green when he was "in office". At home, he preferred a green tunic and brown leggings, always keeping with the earthy colors. His battle attire consisted of green undershirts and leggings and painted-brown armor. He wore his sword,
the Herald, at his back in a baldric.
High Mage, Wind
In the praries and forests of what is now northern Illinois, there was a tribe of warriors with great powers over the weather. With the right ceremony, they could create storm clouds overhead to make it rain. They could change the direction of the wind.
The chief of their tribe was a great warrior, and was also highly skilled in his power over the weather. He could create a tornado with a gesture; a bolt of lightning with but a word. He was a strong leader, and defended his people from attacks by "Dark Spirits" and "Pale Demons". He was given the name at adulthood of "Eyes of Thunder".
He was in contact with the High Mages by avian couriers, and when he was called to take place in the Sealing, he gathered his strongest warriors and cleared an entire forest of demons to use as the grounds.
The chief had shoulder-length black hair, and wore a leather vest, pants, and boots. He has a large black spiral tattoo on his chest. At his waist is a large white knife that was carved from the bone of his father. His favored weapon was a bow, and he kept a quiver of stone-tipped arrows handy.
High Mage, Fire
Rokubungi Hiashi was the head of a clan of
ninja in a village hidden on a mountainside. He was frequently called the
Hokage - Fire Shadow - because of his power over smoke, flame, and heat. He and his clan were mercenaries, hired out by the local
daimyo for bodyguard detail, information gathering, and the occasional assassination.
Hiashi preferred a simple red robe when relaxing in the village. As ninja often performed their missions in disguises, he had no "official" battle attire, though he often preferred a dark red bodysuit with red-painted metal armor plates. He often carried a
kodachi, though he was skilled in most forms of armed and unarmed combat, and frequently used what was at hand at the time.
High Mage, Water
Contrary to the other High Mages, the High Water Mage ruled over nothing larger than his own ship. Captain of a mid-sized transport and cargo ship, Alexander Brannigan was a kind and gentle man. He never turned down an honest transport job, and often let those with little money on for free.
His ship was unarmed, and he kept no weapons on board. But despite this, he was never once robbed by pirates or destroyed by sea monsters. Alexander was a master of water and ice magic, and would defend his ship - and those aboard it - without ever needing a blade. Some say he singlehandedly defeated a
krakana by freezing it solid and shattering it by ramming it with his ship.
Alexander was the one to pick up and transport the High Fire and Earth Mages to the New World, where the Sealing would take place. His ship was destroyed soon after the ritual, and his wife and children were stranded.
Alexander was completely bald, with ice-blue eyes. He had a horizontal scar on his right cheek, just under his eye. He often wore a white, flowing, long-sleeve shirt, black pants, a wide leather belt, and tall brown boots. He often had a wooden flute with him, which he would play to amuse the small children of his passengers, as well as his own family, who lived on the ship with him.
Danti
Danti is a friend of Mory, Kyraa, and Allison. She has brown hair and eyes, and dresses conservatively. She has a rather raunchy sense of humor.
DV
DV is the lead singer of the band that Weston put together. He has shaggy dirty-blond hair, blue eyes, and always wears red clothing.
Coffee Shop Manager
A short, stocky, balding middle-aged man.
