The two first started as enemies but eventually came to a peaceful time, a [i]Silver Millennium[/i]. No wars took place, citizens of either kingdoms were at peace, everyone and everything flourished and no one was in need of anything. The only stipulation was that members of either court could not mingle, they were [i]forbidden[/i]. Unfortunately this did not stop a small handful of younger members of the Lunar Kingdom to run away occasionally to lay upon the Earth. One princess from the moon became smitten with a Solar kingdom's prince - causing scandal, one after the other appear. Words reached citizens; weak and the powerful, along with others who sought to overthrow the now '[i]unjust[/i]' rulers of the Moon and Earth... The ruling court members even attempted to blame [i]Shadow Regent[/i], claiming he was tainting one of their moon princesses in order to gain power of his own. Much and more happened in between, stretching the trust and loyalty of the common citizens of either kingdom. From this, war broke out and thousands upon thousands of soldiers, both trained and untrained, breached the Lunar Kingdom's palace when members of the Solar kingdom would be present for meetings and accords signed. Many of the younger members of the courts were slaughtered first, so young and unsuspecting, unaware of how to react to the hoards that set upon them. Those who were not initially killed died in various ways, some even taking their own lives rather than live any longer among this madness of loved ones lost and their world as they knew crumbling around them. The ruling court members died shortly after, defending their lives and home as best they could but to no avail. Before death fell upon them, the [i]Dawn Heir[/i] found a way to save all their souls, using all the of his strength to protect them and send them to Earth. They would awaken when Earth was new and this travesty was long forgotten. It would be like, none of this - none of [i]them[/i] ever existed... In 199X, the first of the souls were reborn and awoke to a new enemy that threatened the planet. This enemy claimed responsibility for the end of the first [i]Silver Millennium[/i] and came to finish the job of destroying them and claiming Earth as their own. One after another of the souls were brought back of the first ruling class of the previous Silver Millennium, and they brought this enemy down once and for all. Each one of them was gifted the lost memories of their past lives and they found each other once again. Loved ones were reunited and together they all started their goal of rebuilding what was lost. However, changes would be made! The Moon Kingdom was restored to its former glory, but would not be used for their homes. The separations of the courts was the initial cause of the past problems - this time they would have [i]one[/i] kingdom on the Earth's surface where each court would have equal say, they would all rule. The [i]Crystal Kingdom[/i] was born - [i]Crystal Tokyo[/i]. In 20XX, it is the mark of a second Silver Millennium, and the Crystal Kingdom is a beacon of hope for all of Earth. It is a symbol of compromises and promises of a lasting peace that not even the first Silver Millennium could provide. Children of the past guardians, now the rulers of the courts in the Crystal Kingdom, are now coming of age, though none - to the knowledge of their parents - have retained any memories of their own perspective past lives. They all live (relatively) normal teenage / young adult lives in a kingdom of peace. This, however, cannot last. A presence from the past, the [i]Shadow Regent[/i] has returned as well, and has set the rulers on edge. Would they dare to try ruining all they had worked for? It did not take much time for them to decide on a course of action - the new age of guardians was necessary to collect the missing crystals and protect the royal heirs. Surely, history will not repeat itself, right?
