I"m back! I went to monterey with my bro, parents and 2 dogs. It was pretty exciting. We visited the aquarium, 17 mile drive, antique stores, and the butterflies. I was so excited that they were in season. It was fun seeing them fly all over the place, almost like bats. Kinda creepy.

I found out that butterflies migrate to areas that have temps between 50-70 deg F, and where eucalyptus trees are.
As for the aquarium, I thought the Long Beach one was a lot better since you could pet sharks and run through a bird aviary at that one. But Monterey had fun stuff as well. You could see salt and fresh water otters, touch anemones, look at these huge schools of fish (I thought it was funny since they had them swimming in a huge circle around the ceiling of the roof) and sun fish. Those things are huge and so are tuna. eek

yeah, it was nothing like what I first pictured where people would be caged in with a ton of butterflies all around you and just random flowers on either side of a walkway. lol. I have quite an imagination. It was just outdoors behind someone's house. lol
