● As a byproduct of his genetic alterations he is afflicted with a pigment deficiency in his skin and hair leaving his hair snow white and his skin a much lighter shade of blue than is typical of the Chiss. The modifications have also slowed the aging process, making him appear as though he was in his mid twenties to early thirties rather than a Chiss almost in his sixties.

P e r s o n a l i t y:
● Fulgrim is extremely charismatic and personal, but also extremely sharp witted and fast thinking which makes him resourceful socially, politically, and as a warrior. He is proud, but not arrogant, and often has difficulty asking for assistance because he believes that he should be setting an example as a symbol of strength and ability. Behind the scenes and known to very few outside of the council, Fulgrim has a slight hedonistic streak that has been at the heart of the controversy surrounding him as Grand Master... though it has not yet interfered with his duties and ability to perform.

● Fulgrim carries a curved handled lightsaber made of a phrik alloy. The permafrost crystal gives the blade an almost white coloring, only emitting a faint bluish glow.

● Fulgrim typically carries a fairly standard compliment of equipment when on assignment, a small medkit, rebreather, a short range commlink, etc. However he has access to a wide variety of other gear due to his large personal wealth. The most notable and commonly seen item outside of his usual garb is an ornate suit of armor that consists of a thin layer of phrik mesh sandwiched between plastoid plates making it extremely lightweight and sturdy yet still retaining the ability to stop small caliber blaster fire and glancing blows from a lightsaber. The armor is just three pieces, a cuirass with attached pauldrons, and a pair of bracers. It has a glossy black finish with detailed silver etchings covering it's surface.

● Fulgrim is a Master of Makashi, and is widely regarded as the most skilled practitioner of the form to date, though his utter dedication to the form has left several of the other forms a bit neglected. He is competent in all, but uses Makashi almost exclusively.

● Due to his preference for Makashi, Fulgrim relies more heavily on his saber in combat than a practitioner of another form. It is absolutely essential for it to be able to function in all environments, and has been modified for use underwater, as well as in other extreme temperatures and environments. The blade's almost white colour comes from a rare permafrost crystal that Fulgrim sought out whilst he was training alone on the planet Hoth in the outer rim territories. The Crystal carries great sentimental value to him, and he views it as a symbol of him as a Jedi, representing his purity of intent, his lineage as a Chiss, and his uniqueness as an individual.

● Fulgrim was not born, so much as he was created. His father was a zealous leader of a fanatical religious sect that formed on Csilla nearly twenty years prior to Fulgrim's creation. Normally a group such as this would have been shrugged off as a passing phenomena or at most, an irritating cult. The group became more of a threat and a powerful political entity when control was passed to Fulgrim's father whose charismatic nature, coupled with his innate sensitivity to the force allowed him to organize the group towards their goals whilst attracting new members.
As Fulgrim's father began to grow old, he worried that no one in the sect would be strong enough or personable enough to keep it in tact without it degenerating into violence and fanaticism. He decided that in order for the sect to survive, he had to live on in some form or another. After weighing his options, he eventually chose to create a leader from the same basic mold that had created him. So telling his followers that he would soon return, he disappeared without saying where.
Fulgrim's father headed to Kamino, to seek the aid of the famed cloners. He wanted his successor to be a more powerful, and more successful leader than he could ever hope to be and so had the Kaminoan geneticists modify his DNA into what would eventually become Fulgrim. The cloners made him the best he could be whilst still remaining Chiss, enhancing his natural intelligence, speed, strength, reflexes, and senses to naturally unreachable levels. They also enhanced his appearance, creating a taller, stronger built, more attractive version of Fulgrim's father to further enhance his charisma and presence. Lastly they gave the clone increased longevity, easily doubling, perhaps even tripling the natural lifespan of an ordinary Chiss.
When the modified clone reached it's fetal stage, the cloners noticed that the skin was uncharacteristically pale for a Chiss, and were about to scrap the clone and try again when they were stopped by Fulrim's father. He requested that they continue, claiming that it was a mark, a sign that he would one day become great. The Kaminoans were puzzled, but obliged his request.
Just over a year later Fulgrim's father returned to Csilla to find that the sect had torn itself apart in a power struggle and had degenerated to acts of terror and violence in an attempt to force the Csillan ruling families to meet their demands. His Father was taken into custody as the leader of the sect, and executed. The mysterious child was then put into government care and monitored closely, as they were unsure of his origins.
Less than a year after Fulgrim's death, a young Miralian jedi found him whilst researching non-jedi force practitioners. She had heard rumors of Fulgrim's father and eventually followed them back to Csilla. the young Jedi instantly sensed Fulgrim's ability and asked if she could take the child, the Chiss were hesitant, but eventually agreed.
Fulgrim developed much the same as other trainees, but with a single exception. From a young age he was able to easily perceive shatterpoints in objects (and later in situations), and although it would be years before he could put a name to the gift it catapulted him forwards in his training.
The Miralian who had discovered him later became his master, and he served as her apprentice for nearly a decade, in that time he developed a rather unorthodox view of what it meant to be a jedi, and the pair of them were often seen as walking a fine line.
After completing his trials, Fulgrim was quickly elevated to the rank of Master and was given a large degree of independence, a decision that although not harmful, would often irritate the council, as Fulgrim's unorthodox views and beliefs had led him to the conclusion that in order to understand what drives people, and to truly serve the people he was to protect, he had to understand what they loved and why. He eventually decided that the best way to do that would be to find what made him happy in the galaxy, and indulge himself in it. This eventually led to an accumulation and collection of art, music, literature, and the like all stored in a mansion-like complex atop a Coruscant high-rise.
Fulgrim was one of the few Masters that managed to survive the Great Purge, and when the dust had settled, there seemed to be no one else left alive with the necessary power, skill, and experience to lead the reconstruction of the Order. Though somewhat unpopular as a choice amongst the traditionalist Jedi, he was elevated to the rank of Grand Master. Fulgrim then set to work on restructuring the Order in such a way that it could most efficiently utilize it's minuscule remaining resources. He charged the Masters at each of the existing academies with reorganizing and replenishing their ranks so that the Jedi could again become a paradigm of righteousness. This plan however has become somewhat problematic as many of the remaining and more experienced Jedi have taken this freedom to further their own agendas and breakaway somewhat from traditional structure.
