Tatooine is a desert planet located in the outer rim. Once covered by oceans, Tatooine is now almost exclusively composed of deserts and rock wastelands. The planet's climate is mercilessly hot, and there is very little water on the surface. Because of this lack of water, many of Tatooine's settlers are moisture farmers. Other notable inhabitants include the primative warrior race of the SandPeople, Czerka miners, and many criminals and bounty hunters, found primarily in Tatooine space port settlemnts, such as Mos Eisley. Although a Republic planet, it is strongly influenced by the Hutts, the Exchange, and Czerka.
