● Neiki is a master with words. She can talk almost anyone in or out of any situation. She can rile a person up, or calm them down.
● Neiki's movements are always fluid, but, like an ocean, they shift and change constantly. In a fight, her next move will almost always be unexpected.
● She is very fast. Mentally and physically.
● Due to her strange nature, she can think up things most people wouldn't dream of. Creativity is one of her strongest characteristics.

Neiki's entire family, excluding her older brother, were killed by some bandits looking to make a quick buck. Being the epitome of the generic Tatooine sob story, no one would take the eleven year old boy and six year old girl into their homes. Neiki and her brother wandered across the arid desserts for months, scavenging for food and claiming shelter in caves and abandoned houses. One night, after Neiki's brother had gone to sleep, Neiki left the safety of their temporary shelter. She walked out of the cave mouth and stood staring at the dessert, dreaming of being someplace else. Suddenly, a streak of light flashed across the sky, a falling ship. Another, smaller ship followed the crashing one, landing a few kilometers away. With her brother now awake, they rushed to investigate. The crashing ship had been full of escaping slaves. The slavers were in the other one. Feeling a strange sense of justice, Neiki and her brother tried to help the slaves. The slavers shot and killed her brother, and because she was completely defenseless, they took her and the slaves back. A week later, on the slave ship, she wasn't being fed and she was hungry. Still grieving for the loss of her brother, she stared at her cell door, willing it to open. Then, one day, it did. There was no one on the other side, so she walked out. She found the control room. There was only one slaver there. and she unintentionally knocked him out without even touching him, terrified he was going to kill her. Then, like any six year old would, she started to randomly press buttons. Suddenly alarms went off and people rushed into the control room. But they weren't the slavers. Apparently (this she would find out many years later) she had opened the airlock, letting the Jedi enter easily, and all of the slavers had been in there ships, fighting the Jedi. They took her away, sensing the Force within her, and they trained her to be a Jedi.
In the Temple, Neiki was always a handful to deal with. She was never unkind (without reason, of course), but because of her competitive nature, she always strove to be better than her peers. This often led to disputes among the other children. While Neiki never started anything, she would always finish it, one way or another. She had few friends, but many enemies. All of this made the Masters reluctant to take her as a student. But, while she was hard to deal with, her odd training methods eventually caught the eye of a wise Twi'lek Master named Ghista ga'lor. The woman saw Neiki meditating with the younglings. As the girl meditated, she picked up the small children and spun them around slowly, as if they were on a carousel. The children were delighted, and Neiki herself was content. Ghista took Neiki under her wing, determined to find out how the girl ticked.
The two became fast friends, although Ghista was often hard on Neiki. The Master would push her young charge to the breaking point, then slowly bring her back. She did this in an attempt to break down mental barriers in the mind, to allow the Force to flow more freely through the body. The philosophy seemed entirely backwards to Neiki, but it worked. The girl excelled at the physical aspects of the Force powers, the ones that allowed her to better control her body and the areas around her. This also made her exceptionally adept at hand-to-hand and lightsaber combat. She also developed the ability to befriend and (in some cases) to communicate with animals. They would often come to her aid, and this would prove to be a valuable skill in the years to come.
Neiki flew through her training as a padawan, and then through her years as a Knight. She always worked closely with her former Master, rather it was on a mission, or simple politics. They made an excellent team. Then, on a simple transportation mission, things took a turn for the worse. To this very day, Neiki can not remember what it was they were transporting. Perhaps it was blasters, or maybe Xenorphobic Acid, but it matters not to her. The mission ended in disaster. A fleet of pirates swept in and began to raid the ship. Being the only two Jedi on board, Neiki and Ghista flew into action. They met the pirates at the open door of the cargo bay, with the captain of the cargo ship leading the pirate charge. It was not a particularly difficult fight, it was only when things started to explode, that the going got tough. The huge crates began to shift and slide as the ship was rocked by a huge explosion, somewhere off in the crew quarters. Neiki's and Ghista's attention was torn between the incoming pirates, and the tumbling crates. As Neiki would kill a pirate, Ghista would Push a box. It was simple, for a time, then another explosion sounded, this time from the opposite side. This explosion was huge, and it knocked the two Jedi to the ground. Neiki was lucky, she simply skidded across the ground a bit, then halted against the wall. But Ghista was knocked straight into the path of two crates that were on a crash course. Ears ringing and head pounding, Neiki managed to Pull one of the crates away from her Master's head, but it wasn't deflected enough to miss the woman entirely. The two crates smashed into the Twi'lek's stomach, the corner of one tearing a gash into her gut.
Neiki jumped up, and, on a huge wave of adrenaline, killed the remaining pirates. She rushed over to her Master and picked the woman up. Neiki knew she couldn't save the ship, but she cold save her friend. She hauled the woman over to one of the pirate's ships. She tried to Heal Ghista as she ran, but it was almost impossible to concentrate. She got into the pirate's ship and took off, spiraling through space as the cargo ship exploded. A chunk of metal slammed into the wing of the ship. As the two drifted through space in a damaged ship, Neiki struggled to heal Ghista. After an hour or so, Neiki realized it was useless. She was simply prolonging the woman's pain. With an agonized cry, Neiki let her Master and best friend die. The Jedi found them not too long after Ghista had passed, and took the two back to the Temple. It took Neiki almost three months to climb out of her grief stricken stupor, but when she did, she vowed to be one of the best Jedi the Galaxy had ever seen. And as Ghista laid dead in her grave, Neiki moved on with her life.
From this point on, Neiki worked harder than she ever had in her life. She took on an apprentice and trained the young man into a skilled warrior and Knight within a matter of three years. She admits that she did push him hard, even harder than Ghista had pushed her. But the ends justified the means. She was promoted to the rank of Master younger than most. Neiki assumed this move was out of desperation. The Jedi needed Masters, but she was assured otherwise. She had proven her skill both as a warrior, and a teacher, and so she had earned the title.
