Teepee Stat Rolling Thread Welcome to the stat rolling thread! If you are adding a new soquili to an existing teepee or making a new teepee, you must first roll for stats in this thread. Only soquili foals and adults may be added to teepees.Rules If you don't have a teepee yet, please read the Stat and Teepee Updates Thread and follow the instructions there. Do NOT delete posts. If any posts are deleted, you will be asked to re-roll stats. If you make a mistake, such as using the wrong numbers or forget to roll, do NOT delete the post. Simply make a new post with the correct roll. Only foals and adults may be added to teepees. Please do not roll stats for baskets or familiars. Owners of a co-owned soquili where both owners have RP and teepee rights must roll separate stats for each owners teepee. Each owner must post their own request with proof of stat rolls and co-ownership. Soquili must have stats to be officially added to a teepee. The soquili must be certed AND be named before rolling for stats. Procedure Once you have a certed named foal or adult soquili, you may choose one of three options to roll for stats. It's up to you which method you'd like to use, and you may switch between them for each different soquili. However, once you start with one method, you must continue with that method for that soquili. You cannot change methods midway through.
Option One Option one is the classic method we have used for years.
Generate a random number between 4 and 12. The number generated is your stat. You must do this for each stat (six in total).
Record the order of your rolls in the appropriate section then assign the stats at the end, or as you go. Stats may be assigned in any order you wish, but you may only use each rolled stat ONCE. As always, do not delete posts.
Advantage: More likely to get slightly higher starting stats. Disadvantage: Takes longer to roll stats, and there is no guarantee of higher stats even with the time taken.
Option Two Option two allows you to roll all six stats in one post.
Roll six 12-sided dice. Anything below a 4 becomes a 4. 1-4 = 4% 5 = 5% 6 = 6% 7 = 7% ... and so on.
As with option one, stats may be assigned in any order you wish, but you may only use each rolled stat ONCE. As always, do not delete posts.
Example: You roll 7, 8, 2, 7, 12, and 9. Strength: 7% Courage: 8% Speed: 4% (You rolled a 2, but anything below 4 becomes 4.) Intelligence: 7% Luck: 12% Stamina: 9%
Advantage: Quick method of rolling. Gives you all six stats in one go. Disadvantage: More likely to get slightly lower starting stats.
Option Three Lastly, option three allows you to skip rolling altogether, and assign your soquili 4% across the board for all six stats.
Example Strength: 4% Courage: 4% Speed: 4% Intelligence: 4% Luck: 4% Stamina: 4%
If you choose this method, you do NOT have to post here. You may take your soquili straight to the Stat and Teepee Updates Thread and fill out the appropriate form to have them added.
Advantage: The fastest method. Disadvantage: Lowest possible stats is the default for every single stat.
Use the following form when rolling for stats.
Stat Rolling! Name and URL of Certed Soquili: URL of Teepee: [ x ] Rolling Option: Order Numbers Rolled: (List the order you rolled your numbers here. You may assign them to any category you wish, but only use them once.) Link to Rolls in Stat Thread: [ x ] Strength: % Courage: % Speed: % Intelligence: % Luck: % Stamina: %
Once you have completed rolling stats for you soquili, head to the Stat and Teepee Updates Thread and fill out the appropriate form to get them added to your teepee. There are separate forms for adding a soquili to an existing teepee and a form for if you don't have a teepee yet. As a reminder, DO NOT DELETE YOUR POSTS. If you make a mistake while rolling, simply make a new post. If posts are deleted, you will be asked to re-roll the stats. Updates 2/20/13: You can now assign stats where you want. So, if you roll a 6 first you may assign it to any of the categories, and not just strength as we did in the past. 4/22/14: You now have a third option that allows for a flat 4% across all of your stats and requires no rolling. 3/10/19: Owners of a co-owned soquili where both owners have RP and teepee rights must roll separate stats for each owners teepee. Each owner must post their own request with proof of stat rolls and co-ownership. 6/30/26: Thread makeover! Additionally, if you choose to use Option Three for obtaining stats (4 points in all six stats), you are no longer required to post in this thread first; you may head straight to the Stat and Teepee Updates Thread to get your soquili added to your teepee.

FAQ Do I have to have a teepee to get stats? You must already have a teepee, or be about to request a teepee, as stats are required before a soquili can be added or a new teepee can be created. For information on how to get a teepee, please see the Stat and Teepee Updates Thread.
I made a mistake and rolled the wrong thing, do I delete the mistake post and continue? No. Do not delete posts. If you make a mistake, simply make a new post and continue as if nothing happened. You will not be penalized for it. However, deleting posts for any reason is against the rules. If posts are deleted, you will be asked to re-roll the stats for that soquili. If you were rolling stats for several soquili at the same time, you will have to re-roll for all of them.
Can I roll stats for someone else's soquili? No.
Oops! I made a mistake and used the wrong dice/generator. What do I do? If you make a mistake, simply make a new post and continue as if nothing happened. Values from that post should be ignored. Do NOT delete posts.
Someone else is already rolling. Do I wait for them to stop? You can if you wish, but you don't have to.
Can I edit a post and update the stats I just rolled, or do I need to post a new post with them in? Either is fine. It is completely up to you. As long as no posts are deleted, editing is fine, since editing will not change or effect the dice roll/number generator.
I rolled 5, 6, 4, 5, 10, and 8. Do I need to assign these in the order they were rolled? No, you may assign these however you wish. If you wanted your pet to be strong or intelligent you would assign your highest stat to them and then continue from there.
Why would I want to be able to assign my stats? This is purely for cosmetic reasons! This simply allows you to make your pet more like the personality you have planned for them if you wish, but does not effect anything. For example, you can assign a soquili a 4% in intelligence but still RP them as very intelligent if you want.
Do I have to assign the stats differently or can I just do it in the order I rolled them? It is completely up to you. You may roll them and assign in that order, or mix the order up, but each rolled number can only be used once. It really doesn't matter how you assign them. Have fun!
Can I add a soquili to my teepee without rolling stats? No. A soquili must have stats before they can be added to your teepee.
I had a soquili added to my teepee before the rule about needing stats. Will they get stats if I RP, or do I need to roll them stats first? You must roll stats to give them starting stats despite them already being added to your teepee.
How can I increase my soquili's stats? You can increase your soquili's stats through RP and/or by answering the monthly bonus stat questions. For more information on increasing stats, please visit the Stats subforum! Further questions can be PMed to the soquili~teepees mule. If you PM the mule, please remember to post the PM ALERT! form in the Stat and Teepee Updates Thread so the Teepee Manager knows to check the mule.

Option One Demonstration First, I will demonstrate how to roll stats using Option One. I start by using the "Random Number" Post Action when making a new post to RNG a number between 4 and 12, and include the Stat Rolling form. The name and URL of my certed Soquili should be included in this post. If I already have a teepee, I should also include that in the form. I also state which Rolling Option I am using in this post. In this case, it's option 1! Stat Rolling! Name and URL of Certed Soquili: MuleURL of Teepee: N/A Rolling Option: 1 Order Numbers Rolled: Link to Rolls in Stat Thread: Strength: % Courage: % Speed: % Intelligence: % Luck: % Stamina: %

Option One Demonstration 11 points! Now I add this number to the Order Numbers Rolled section. At this point, I should fill in the Link to Rolls in Stat Thread section with a link to my first roll in my previous post. I can start to assign my rolled numbers to my stats, but I can also wait until the end if I wish. In my case, I'm going to go ahead and assign 11 to my Strength stat! Now to RNG the next number! Option One Demonstration Ending things strong with an 11 for Luck! Here is the final breakdown of my stats. If I had waited until the end to assign numbers to all of my stats, now would be the time I should do so. I could also swap stats around if I wanted, but only from the numbers I rolled. This last post should display my finalized stats. Now I can head over to the Stat and Teepee Updates Thread to get my soquili added to my teepee! Stat Rolling! Option Two Demonstration Secondly, I will now demonstrate how to get stats using rolling Option Two. This time, I use the "Roll Dice" Post Action. I want to roll six 12-sided dice. The name and URL of my certed Soquili should be included in this post. If I already have a teepee, I should also include that in the form. I also state which Rolling Option I am using in this post. Option Two Demonstration ... and I'm done! See how fast that was? While Option 2 does get things done quickly, it increases the risk of rolling lower numbers, as you can see in my results. Remember, anything below a 4 automatically rounds up to a 4. In this case, I got two 3s, so I'm rounding them up to 4s. At this point, I should fill in the Link to Rolls in Stat Thread section with a link to my first roll in my previous post. I should also fill in the Order Numbers Rolled section with the numbers I rolled, and fill in the Link to Rolls in Stat Thread section with a link to my rolls in my previous post. Now, all I have to do is assign the numbers to any stats I wish, in any order. In this case, I'm just going to assign them in the same order I rolled them in. Once I do that, I can head over to the Stat and Teepee Updates Thread to get my soquili added to my teepee! Stat Rolling! Name and URL of Certed Soquili: Mule Jr.URL of Teepee: N/A Rolling Option: 2 Order Numbers Rolled: 4, 6, 6, 7, 4, 4 Link to Rolls in Stat Thread: [ x ]Strength: 4% Courage: 6% Speed: 6% Intelligence: 7% Luck: 4% Stamina: 4%
