Small mention of FenriMarch RP Game Prompt March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. Spring is near, and as depicted on the tapestries there is a story to tell. Your story. Or perhaps a favored tale from your youth. Whatever the tale, tell it well and you may be able to snag a couple of delightful prizes.

It felt like ages since Kurone had last been home to where his mother lived as he was often traveling around either solo or with his uncle. Finally back in the area he headed towards the spot that Delilah called home. His sister lived nearby and was often found over with their mother. Entering the clearing he immediately spotted his mother and sister. "Hey guys I'm back!" He called out. He was greeted with happy cries and a big welcome home.
Most the day was spent catching up with each other. Him telling stories of his travels and Delilah and Fenri telling him any exciting news that happened in the area. It seemed like his uncle Jeremiah had made it back at some point while he had been gone and had only recently left again. "Would have been nice to catch up with Uncle Jere but I'm sure I'll run into him sometime later, either here or while out traveling." He commented. Delilah gave him a nod absentmindedly while Fenri gave him a knowing look. She knew what their uncle did and that he helped out sometimes so she probably figured out that it was more likely that they had a meeting spot and date set up sometime later.
"But anyways.... I had been speaking with another Soquili about our childhoods and it made me think about mine. I know that I'm your adopted son and I don't fully remember how I came to be your adopted son. Like I know my mom is out there somewhere along with my dad.... who I have no clue who he is. I sort of remember my mom and how she tolerated me until one day she didn't.... I don't really remember much else besides running, constantly running." He said to Delilah. His conversation with that random stranger made him remember and wonder what had happened to him as a foal. He did remember his mother, Jinko, and her lover Dailu, but after Jinko chased him off as he grew somewhat older... well his memories grew fuzzy and he didn't really remember what happened after that.
Delilah stopped what she had been doing, cleaning out the spot where Kurone usually slept when he was home, and turned to look at him. "I'm sorry? What? Oh..... oh..... how you came to be with us..... Are you sure you want that story? I'm sorry.... I've never really told it to you..... you always seemed to avoid wanting to know. I should have known that you'd want to know. How stup-" She rambled before being cut off.
"No no no... it's fine mom. You're not stupid or silly about this. I..... I did avoid asking about growing up. I remembered more of what happened at that time and it hurt remembering so I just stopped thinking about it." Kurone said hurriedly, "But it's not something I should keep avoiding." He was glad that cutting his mom off on one of her apologetic streaks worked otherwise she would have kept saying sorry and not tell the story.
"If you're sure...." Delilah said getting a nod in return, "Well..... I don't have the full story of what happened to you. I think only you really know deep down what had happened. I only know the little bit from when your uncle Jeremiah found you to him bringing you here and taking care of you." She looked over at Fenri for a moment lost in thought. She gave a small shake of her head as if to clear it or wake herself up.
"As you know, your uncle Jeremiah travels all over and on one of his journeys he discovered an injured foal covered in burrs crying for his momma. Jeremiah looked around but saw no sign of a mare, just this abandoned foal.... you. The foal had scratches or teeth marks on him, either a big cat tried to hunt him or a wolf had tried to jump on him and bite him. There were countless burrs covering this poor thing so Jeremiah took this foal in doing his best to remove the burrs and tend to his wounds. He wasn't fully equipped to handle all of the injuries, never mind traveling with an injured foal was never a good thing. Since he wasn't terribly far from here he brought the foal to me to nurse so he could finish whatever job he had to do. I'm not sure what the reason was for him being away that time.... I don't think he ever really said." Delilah recalled, "I hadn't been expecting Jere back so soon and certainly not with a foal.... that I assumed that he had left to go get his child and bring him back to me. I was so angry with him! That he had had a child with some mare I didn't know and was only then bringing the child over. It was only when Fenri stopped me and pointed that you looked nothing like him and was injured that I realized that you weren't his secret child. I took over caring for you after Jere left and gave you your name. I used to ask you what your name was and all you would reply was 'It'.... that's not a name so I gave you one like I gave Fenri one. After you were all better.... well I was already attached as was Fenri so I just adopted you as my son. You broke down in tears when I said that you could stay and I'd raise you."
Kurone inwardly cringed at the ending of the story; he definitely remember sobbing like a little baby when he had be told that he was now part of this family. Looking over at his mother he saw such a look of love and acceptance that his feeling of embarrassment quickly passed. "And you're still the best mom I could ever ask for. I'm so happy you took me in.... and that you remember so much. Thanks for reminding me how I came to be your son."
