Tlhe Meteor Shower (3): It wouldn't be a star festival without a meteor shower! Right on time, a beautiful array of shooting stars graces the night sky. This time of year is unnaturally clear and it's incredibly easy to see the stars. Most meteor fragments appear to be little white or yellow lights streaming across the sky, but if you watch closely enough you may find that some of them seem to be a whole rainbow of colors. The scientists have reported that it's just different components burning up as they enter the atmosphere, but there's something undeniably magical about it.

Whilst wandering the city was something that Liryn enjoyed, on this particular evening the small mauvian was actually out for a purpose–
Namely the meteor shower that was apparently supposed to be taking place tonight.
It seemed a good night for one, with the night skies unusually clear and the tabby bob tailed mauvian had been busying himself with finding the perfect spot to while away some time sky gazing.
In the end he'd ended up in a park close to the town square and had settled on a bench with a meat pastry that one of the street vendors had given after he'd played cat-cat and contemplated whether he should climb one of the nearby trees.
The view from the bench was pretty decent, but perhaps being up in a tree would be better–
But then again the shower was supposed to start soon and Liryn didn't want to miss even a second.
He was a few bites into the pastry when he felt the aura.
A dark mirror aura and strong with it–
And seemingly relatively close to the park bench he'd settled on.

Truthfully, despite his experience and power, Remarque did not immediately sense a Mauvian in the area. They had this sneaky little ability to disappear right under your nose.
He didn't even suspect anything until he was only a few feet away from the cat, and by then he was still distracted with brushing himself off. A few leaves clung to him, but they fell away even as his steps slowed.
And then, his eyes landed on Liryn.
...Who was very, very small, for someone who suddenly had a very large aura.
"Oh. I thought you'd be hiding." He knew Mauvians could feel his energy signature well before he could feel theirs--even with him only in his Eternal form.
But, the Mauvian had been looking up at the sky, so he did the same. "Are you watching the meteor shower or is there something I should be worried about up there?"
