Though Sailor Tempesti’s fuku was better than many when facing the summer’s heat, nightfall still brought welcome relief from the blazing light of day. Soft evening breezes wafted around bare legs protected from any hungry mosquitos by the generous application of some bug spray. She hadn’t seen any yet, but she’d rather be prepared than not.

At the sensation of another Order energy signature, the young woman glanced around until her gaze landed on a familiar deep space senshi. It had been a while since she’d seen Sailor Vizi, so it was particularly nice to encounter a friendly face. With a wave and a warm smile, she strode over, “Vizi! How’s your night going?”

Arranging her skirts, Tempesti took a seat beside Vizi, his pensiveness not lost on her as she examined his expression. With everything even the natives of Earth had to contend with, she couldn’t claim that it was surprising to find the deep space senshi lost in thought.

“My night is going well, certainly no complaints.” She tilted her head slightly, curious about what was actually weighing on him. “What’s on your mind? If you don’t mind me asking, I mean. If you want to tell me. Maybe I could help.” She smiled earnestly as she spoke, hoping that her offer would be a welcome one.

Tempesti nodded sympathetically, unable to fathom the brutal weight of being denied even the barest comforts of home. “I’m sorry, I can’t imagine how that must feel. I…I know it’s not the same, but if you’d like I could take you to Tempesti. The planet I mean. I haven’t seen any Chaos, there are some big animals but it’s safe as long as we don’t get too close…but I’d love to have you there.”

The young senshi’s voice was earnest, eager to do whatever she could to ease some of Vizi’s melancholy. It wasn’t bringing him home, but maybe seeing a reawakening world could do him some good.

Tempesti smiled warmly at the deep space senshi before gently resting a hand on his arm before transporting them both from Earth’s pull and onto a warm, windswept beach in the shadow of the Tower of the Winds. The sweeping golden accents gleamed in the waning light as the glow within the pale spire’s crystal beacon began to glow. A group of plump snowy-feathered birds with black and red plumes that matched their tails looked curiously a the new arrivals from their place among the hardy flowers that grew from the white sand. Across the harbor, the colorful stained glass of the city of Keraunos glittered.

A soft breeze ruffled the plants at their feet, mingling the sea air with the gentle aroma of the blossoms.

The senshi felt an undeniable sense of pride in the planet’s determination to recover from the centuries it spent asleep. Whatever role she played in that renewal seemed insignificant when placed against the scale of its growth since her first arrival on that desolate shore outside the city. She was uncertain of what Chaos had done in the long distance between her most recent lives, but she hoped that the sight of resurgent life combined with the knowledge that other deep space senshi had banished the malevolence that had invaded their planets could bolster Vizi’s hopes for the future of his own.
