Okay. So school maybe got the better of him after winter vacation. That didn't take away from how cool he thought Alex now was, with his magic and his teleporting and all of that. It also didn't take away from the fact that he was really, really hoping he might have similar powers, too! If it ran in the family, anyway. Which, if Lorcan was like Alex, meant that there was a chance that it did! So he had reached out after finally figuring out what he could do to not lose out on any commitments but still make enough time to go back to Alex to ask his questions and...
What did they do anyway, to figure out if someone has magic? Test for aptitude?
Danny rang the doorbell, grinning ear to ear as he imagined a room full of seemingly average people huddled over individual desks taking a standardized test to see if any of them had any kind of magic.

Katya knew what was going on, she'd been let in on the plans for the day, her blond general had been gracious enough to provide her the information and asll for her assistance if it was needed. She had, of course, obliged even though she was technically Rene was the one who belonged to her she had lived with Alexandre for years.. Rene was the senshi she had bonded to though, which meant he belonged to her, but Alexandre had given her a home for far longer than Rene had been in the picture. They were both hers and she would help when and where she could, so long as it didn't include building too many things or overly complicated things, she was better with books and tactics.
It was Katya who had been waiting by the front door for Danny and it was Katya who used an invention of hers, a buton at mauvian height, that would open the front door. So she was now able to open the front door for people whenever she pleased, while still in mauvian form, just incase someone got hurt and people needed to be let in. It was a safety feature she'd recently worked on, it had taken her a lot of time, but she felt it was a need in this house.
"Daniel." She greeted, tail moving behind her, while a little crown sat perched on her head the mauvian gave alittle bow. "Come in, shoes off, and shut the door behind you." Direction given like a queen, and who was to say she wasn't? She did get whatever she wanted.

Danny blinked when the door swung open and...no Alex.
Someone greeted him though! The brunette quickly racked his brain for where the voice could have come from, and thinking back to that very conversation with Alex his eyes immediately went down. To Alex's cat, Katya, who sure enough continued speaking after the initial greeting.
"Katya!" he said probably way too loudly as he stepped inside and closed the door behind him, as instructed. "Scare a guy half to death, why don't you? Good thing I remembered what he told me about you back then." He quickly lifted a hand and added, "Sorry, sorry. I know. Not your fault I forgot for a second."
He slipped out of his shoes then, and followed after her.
"I was honestly expecting Alex though. Is he home?"

"If I were looking to scare you I would have found a better way to do it." She stated rather primmly, little nose up i nthe air as she spoke, turning to lead the way her tail held high. "Don't worry though, it is hard to remember that some of us are not normal cats." While cats were nice, they looked like her after all, she was beyond a normal cat - she was a mauvian. "It's easy to forget what I am exactly."
Making a gesture with one paw as she spoke, as if shrugging with one paw. "You'll get used to it and remember. Than the issue will be remembering not to talk to me out in public like you do now." Because than a person looked insane, and that was bad, but it was an easy enough to make mistake. To remember what you could and could not do with her. "Of course he is, but he sent me to get a sense for you. He can make an officer but if you have the starseed of a senshi than he will not know, nothing will happen when he goes to corrupt you. I cansense it though, if you have that potential, and we can call in a general king to do the work that we can not." She said honestly, stopping in her tracks and turning to stare up at him, slowly.
Wide eyed the mauvian raised a paw to the other. "Shhhh, I can sense something, I have since you entered the house." But she wasn't entierly certain. However she ws almost entierly sure. He was meant to hbe a corrupted senshi. "There are already two corrupted senshi in the family...and several officers. It's impressive what is in this family." A lot of power in one place, a good thing really, it was just good that it was all on their side...family fighting family was a terrible thing; even if they didn't know it.

"I'll try to remember," he said, bright eyes very clearly amused at the image of someone talking very seriously with a cat out in public. To each their own, as far as he was concerned, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't find it funny.
Danny reeled his focus in, eyes falling to Katya as she led the way and explained why she'd come to get him instead of Alex. Glancing back, he wondered how she got the door open to begin with. Possibly more magic? If teleporting was a thing in the world, then a cat being able to pop a door open with magic wasn't much of a stretch for his imagination.
She used a few unfamiliar words that he hoped, if he did have any of this magical business inside of him, would eventually become familiar, and nodded along. "Sense...officer...starseed...senshi..." he murmured quietly to himself, trying to commit it all to memory.
"If I'm like–" he cut off when she shushed him, blinking as she went on to explain.
"So I'm a...corrupted senshi?" he asked when she seemed to settle on the idea. "Like Lorcan's partner?"
