Andromeda certainly took to patrols with a newfound energy since her talk with Creedence. She had a feeling Creedence might have found some of her ideas a little silly judging from her tone and her face, but that was fine. As long as she was 'taking initiative' and being useful, right? Maybe if she worked hard enough she'd be able to help turn the tides a little. The less opposition there was on the other side, the better they'd be able to repair everything, right? It made sense to her. It was still kind of funny to her to be walking around at night like this. Leaping from rooftop to rooftop, scouting alleyways. It wasn't like she was a stranger to being out at night, but it wasn't Vivian who was out right now enjoying Destiny City's night life, it was Andromeda. In her poofy little skirt, her big ribbony bow, and her magic powers. She'd stopped thinking much of it, especially as she grabbed a cherry slurpee and wished the 711 guy a good night like she was just a regular paying customer and didn't look out of place at all. He was so chill? Like, it made her forget she was walking in there as she was. And so she sat on the roof of a closed stall at a riverside boardwalk, drinking her slurpee and looking off into the night. You know... she shouldn't be doing this alone. Creedence did have other senshi she had awakened, and one of whom she'd even met. Maybe it was time to try and fix that embarrassing first impression she'd made. Andromeda reached back for her phone, flipping through it until she could start sending off a text. Rejam Text sent 10:50pmHi! This is Andromeda! From the festival? 💮💫 I wanted to apologize if I made you uncomfortable Wanna come hang out and patrol with me? I'll try to make up for it! idk how but we can figure something out Text sent 10:51pmif you want to that is I totally get it if you don't

The reply came after a pause, which might be expected. It was not, however, the pause of someone who had simply not been conveniently powered up at the moment that their senshi phone dinged. Alekto had actually by some cosmic coincidence been doing one of her very rare patrols at the exact moment that the message was sent. No, the delay came from her total inability to think of some reply, and of painstakingly drafting and redrafting it while trying to control the red hot flush in her cheeks at the embarrassing reminder. And yet, despite that effort, it still was not her finest work. Quote: 11:02 PMoh! it took me a minute to remember your name! not uncomfortable at all! it was funny! there's nothing to make up for but it's always a good idea to patrol in pairs, i think where can i meet you? Having then dispatched two lies and a false burst of enthusiasm, Alekto was left to reap the consequences of her own dishonesty, while still trying to keep the blood from running right up into her ears.

Five minutes went by with no answer and Andromeda just kind of took it at that. Either she was asleep, didn't have her phone accessible, or wanted nothing to do with her. Unfortunate, but she would survive. Oh, well. She finished her slurpee by the time an answer did ping on her phone, and she checked to see what it was with no expectation of it being Alekto. Oh! Okay! Bet! Rejam 11:04pmGreat! At the boardwalk rn Amazing. Andromeda looked around then, leaning over the edge to drop the slurpee cup into a nearby garbage can down on the floor. She'd just wait here for Alekto. Creedence should be happy if they patrol together, yeah?

She had secretly - in the sense that one can try to keep a secret from themselves - been hoping that Andromeda would be somewhere inconveniently distant. Unfortunately, and exactly to the contrary, she was distressingly nearby. This was some sort of cosmic joke, clearly. Still, at least relieved her of the pressure of trying to compose a declining text (what would you say, after all? Hang on, lemme power down and drive across town first?), and with that pathetic consolation prize she took herself in the direction specified, until managing to get a bead on the magical radar she was still getting accustomed to. Success came at last, however, but it came from ground level. "Oh," said Alekto from the ground, after looking around in bewilderment before thinking to lift her eyes, and then moving towards her to get within earshot without having to actually yell. "Hello." Good ******** thing it was dark. She was flushing again, this time from embarrassment at having already made a fool of herself. Having most of her face covered was probably helping too. "I always forget people like to go up there," she said, delivered completely nonchalantly despite the feeling behind it being one of intense defensiveness. She was, after all, an actress.

Someone was coming. Andromeda perked up and looked around for the source, glad that it didn't feel threatening. It must have been Alekto! At first Andromeda was content to simply sit and wait for her, that was until she called out from the ground. She blinked. Was Alekto not coming up here? That's... fine, sure. She rose to stand, hopping down from the top of the stall and landing gracefully on her feet. Once in front of her, Andromeda flashed Alekto a bright smile and offered a wave of her hand in greeting. "Hey! Yeah. I've found I really like hopping along rooftops, kind of like a superhero in a movie, you know? It's fun. You not good with heights?" It was asked as a genuine question. If Alekto didn't want to be up on the roof she was totally fine with them walking.

Well, if the goal was to seem cool and nonchalant by remaining at ground level, any success withered up and blew away in the face of the suggestion that she was afraid of heights. "I'm fine with heights," she said, sounding cheerful and not at all strained. "I just like to keep an eye on the situation down on the ground, you know. That's where all the bad s**t tends to be. Not that there's - ah - any bad s**t about, I guess. Unless there's a youma!" This sudden realization that her argument might still hold water gave this a burst of extra cheer, which made it sound as though she might be as delighted by a sudden youma as by a sudden birthday cake. "Have you run into any youma yet?"

Andromeda actually had to think. Had she encountered any youma? She tapped at her lips, her gaze turning distant. There was Hestia... Salome.. the freak with the furby.. Snow White's Evil Queen guest starring on RuPaul's Drag Race... "You know... no," Andromeda answered with a bit of surprise to her own answer, looking to Alekto now. "There was a guy with what he called a 'wraith', but no youma. That's weird, right? I hadn't even thought about that. Have you?" Maybe it was something they could try and do together. Surely Creedence would be excited two of her senshi had taken down a youma together, right?

"Yeah," she said. "They're mostly just annoying. Like - little dog-things and cat-things. But sometimes you think they're gonna be annoying and they end up being awful." It was unfortunate that Alekto - being unaware of it herself - could not convey to Andromeda that her perspective of what constituted a danger vs. an annoyance had been greatly skewed by her first truly supernatural battle experience resulting in her own death, or something like it. With that out of the way, everything afterwards had seemed like a silly sort of game, especially youma, who were not out to put their hands into your ribcages and make you into the villain. "What's a wraith?" she added, wrinkling her forehead.

"That's been my experience with the agents and their senshi so far, to be honest. Except for one. I might have another chat with him, see if he's being serious. But there's this one chick, I don't remember her name, but she's got this freaky Furby that she throws around like a volleyball? Meanwhile, she's dressed like a low budget high school putting on Jesus Christ Superstar but setting it in the Tudor period." Andromeda rolled her eyes and shook her head. Thankfully she'd had yet to experience someone reaching into her chest, Hestia had come the closest with slamming her fist into it. At the question of a wraith Andromeda hummed thoughtfully, settling her hands at her hips. She began to walk, because walking and talking on patrol was better than just standing in one place like a pair of sitting ducks. "It was like... a ghost," she began with a slight nod of her head. Yeah, that worked. "This senshi kept it in a piece of glass, but before that it kept floating over this guy sleeping on a bench until it got big and fat like a tick and then started floating away. And when I threw a rock at it trying to get its attention this guy came out of nowhere all 'you attacked my wraith, it's precious to me, I'm going to fight you now!' like a ******** Pokemon trainer."

This deepened the furrow between her expressive brows.
"That's - well." She paused. "I was gonna say that's really weird but I met a big grey guy from outer space, so what even counts at this point?" Another pause. "I told him he should go to the zoo. What do you even do, you know?"
And then, belatedly: "What is even with the clothes?" This seemed to be a general lamentation. Secretly, Alekto thought she herself looked quite cool and badass. But it was good to be above that sort of thing.

"A big grey guy?" Couldn't be the antlered guy. He wasn't big. Did she mean someone else? Interesting. Andromeda looked down at herself when Alekto suddenly lamented about clothes, and then to Alekto. Well... yeah, Alekto's fuku was certainly more interesting than her own. But hers did have a lot of exposed skin for her to use with her magic. "Maybe it's something to do with how everyone's magic manifests?" A pause. "Do the Negaverse agents have magic?"

"Yes," she said promptly. "They can like. What's that one guy in the comics - Nightcrawler. They can Nightcrawler around. Like - bam-bam-bam and they're all over the place. It is so not fair and I don't know how we're supposed to compete with that." This was distinctly plaintive. Alekto clearly had strong feelings about the whole teleportation thing. "So like. Be careful, I guess," she finished skeptically. "Because you'll think you're good and all of a sudden - whoosh." A pause. "I don't know if they have anything else, though. Have you ever seen them do anything magical besides that?"
