There were very few people Halia could turn to in life about magical things. Even fewer still who weren't magical but still involved. So when asking for guidance on having a non-magical partner, there were exactly two people who came to mind that could speak from experience.

Halia was glad for the day off, even if it was a bit overcast and gloomy with the weather. She didn't want to try and have this conversation before or after work, wanting to be able to give her full attention to her family. While Luke and Safira weren't her parents by any means, they were most likely the closest she would ever get to experiencing actual parental guidance and she took their opinions and advice seriously.

Heading into the house, Halia made her way to Luke's office and knocked on the door frame with a timid smile. It had been a while since she first learned she was part of the family, but even so, she felt awkward at times dropping by so casually. "Sorry to interrupt anything. Do you....happen to have time maybe?"
