A letter from a stranger arrives at your doorstep-
Lady Halloween, Congradulation on finding your Reliquiant. You have been given a most wonderful gift. As the new Guardian of Montana Agate, I leave you with some information that might aid you in the exploration of your new responsibility, I wish you all the luck and joy. ~Owner of the Restful Relic Inn
Mythology- Ancient civilizations believed that wearing agate would make them invisible, thus protecting them from danger. Farmers used agates to ensure good crops. Romans wore agate to please the gods that would bring an abundant harvest. In Persia, agate was worn to confer eloquence and magicians used the crystal to divert dangerous storms. In ancient Asia, agates were used to see the future.

Today at lunch I realized that this would be a good opportunity to conduct a new test with my Reliquiant. So I've decided to introduce Cameo to different kinds of food. I figured I would do like others had done in their tests. A bit from each food group, (Meet, veggies, fruits, Cheese, bread.) as well as a few treats like Candy and the like. Just like the others I had a range of tastes from sour to sweet, bland to spicy, and bitter. If I get the chance later I will take Cameo to be with other Reliquiants. She may still be a stone, but it might do well for her to be near others like herself. Food Tests Meat- didn't care much Veggies- hated Fruits- liked Cheese- hated Bread- hated Candy- hated Sour- liked Sweet- didn't care much Bland- loved Spicy- didn't care much Bitter- liked

Color tests seem to be popular with Reliquiant Guardians so I might as well give it a shot too. I picked a basic spread of colors and presented each to my treasure. I spoke the name of each and gave descriptions of various emotions and objects the are connected with. I tried to mask my enthusiasm for my favorite colors (orange, black, and green) to get a better feel for her real likes and dislikes. My chosen colors to test with were the following set: Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Green, Pink, Purple, Brown, White, Gray, and Black. I hope she has similar tastes as mine, but a parent can never choose such things for their child. They can only love them. heart Colors Test Red- liked Orange- hated Yellow- didn't care much Blue- didn't care much Green- liked Pink- didn't care much Purple- didn't care much Brown- loved White- didn't care much Gray- hated Black- liked

"Music is a powerful thing. It can stir emotions and inspire the soul. Today I sat with Cameo and played for her many different kinds of music. I tired to play her a fair amount of music from as many genres as I had handy or could find. My selections were: Classical, Techno, Metal, Rock, Jazz, Gothic, Rap, Video game music, and Blues. I must admit I am curious to see how she will react to some of these choices." Music Test Classical- didn't care much Techno- hated Metal- didn't care much Rock- liked Jazz- liked Gothic- didn't care much Rap- loved Video game music- hated Blues- liked

Last night I took Cameo on my evening walk with me. She seems to like the night so it seemed to me this was the best time to see what places she likes to be. I took her to all the places I go at night when I need to escape. She started out in the soft leather pouch I carry her in. It's a small brown pouch with a long drawstring, but not so small it would be cramped. As I began the walk I removed her from the pouch and let her feel the night air. The first stop on our walk was through a field I like to visit sometimes. The trees here stand in perfect rows, towering overhead. The moonlight cast their shadows across the field in such a way that it almost appeared to be striped. As the sun set further into the distance, we continued to a small brook that runs along a trail past my home. I knelt by the water and brought Cameo down into the gentle current of the brook. The water was a little cool, but not freezing. After a few moments I took her from the water and placed her in my pocket to warm as we traveled to our next destination. It was late now and the moon was resting high and bright in the sky, now was the time to go to my favorite place. As we arrived at the cemetery I removed Cameo from my pocket and presented her before the iron gates. I walked the familiar paths through the cemetery, visiting the tombstones I found to be the most interesting. We came to a rest below the same willow tree I always visit when I come here. This was in fact the same place I had found my Cameo. I wondered if she remembered. I sat beneath the tree and set her gently in the tall cool grass next to me. We stayed for a while and I told her all about why I visit here. After I finished telling my story I gently placed her back in the pouch and started the walk home. Finally we arrived at home; and once more I took Cameo from her pouch. They say home is where the heart is but who knows how much she likes it here. I brought her to rest on a small cushion I had made for her and wished her goodnight. I wonder if she dreams.... Locations soft leather pouch- liked field- didn't care much small brook- hated pocket- didn't care much cemetery- liked willow tree- liked tall cool grass- grew slightly warm when it was touching the ground, perhaps something a bit different... home-loved small cushion- hated

Time for toys. :Cute: Every child at some point gets their first toy. And I can't think of a child that doesn't enjoy toys. So today I introduced Cameo to some different kinds of toys. First we played a few board games. Earlier in the day we played "Sorry". I would explain the rules as we played; I would also roll the dice for her and move her pieces. Next up was "Life" just like before I would explain the game as it went along and do all the movement of pieces and turning of the dial. She beat me. xp . We ended our board game session with an in depth explanation of "Monopoly". I imagined such a complicated game would be far to hard to walk through. Besides I could never sit through a whole game anyhow. Later that evening Kira came to visit me. I told her that I was showing Cameo some diferent kinds of toys and games and asked if she would like to play. We ended up playing chess together. While setting up the board I decided to play Cameo as my Queen so she would feel like a part of the game. I imagine being such a powerful game piece made her feel a bit proud. We played a few games together, and we would explain to Cameo how each piece moved across the board and the like. Neither of us really knew any fancy moves or tactics, but I'm sure she understands well enough. After Kira left I remembered I had an old bucket of Legos hidden away. Tonight we would build Lego castle! When I was young I would play with these for hours on end. Creating my own little worlds to disappear into. I sat with Cameo and built many things. A castle, a small house with a garden, lego island, a skyscraper, and a few cars. I would place her in the scenes we created and act out little stories for her with the Lego people. It wasn't a great recreations but I had put together a scene of the cemetery and reenacted our meeting. After a short break [A walk to the cemetery] we settled down on the couch for the evening. I let Cameo rest on my lap as I played some Video game. Some people say I should stop wasting my time with them, but I find them way to entertaining. I played a few different games and described them as I did so. Mario bros, Smash brothers, Zelda, Metroid, FF4, Donkey Kong country, Bomberman, Crystalis, and Little Nemo. I hope She had fun. heart Toys and Games "Sorry"- loved "Life"- didn't care much Winning- loved "Monopoly"- liked chess - hated Being the queen- loved Legos- loved Video game- liked Mario bros- didn't care much Smash brothers- liked Zelda- liked Metroid- loved FF4- loved Donkey Kong country- liked Bomberman- didn't care much Crystalis-loved Little Nemo-loved

Last night was beautiful. The moon hung full and bright in a crystal clear night sky. Cameo and I sat out most of the evening enjoying the night air as we watched the moon grace the sky. Through out the day I had tried a new experiment with Cameo. I had had been curious to how she would react to different elements, so as the night progressed I tested them one by one. First was water; A simple bath of sorts in the sink at my home. Next I brought out a large candle and sat Cameo near so she could watch the flame dance. While on our routine walk I took Cameo in my hands and held her high to feel the cool Night breeze. Then as we came to rest in the cemetary I tried earth. In retrospec it might have been a tad morbid, but I set Cameo upon the soft earth of a new grave and covered her gently. I did not leave her long as I did not want to worry her. Elements Water- liked Flame- didn't care much Air (breeze)- liked Earth (buried)- Grew warmer than she had ever done before. Perhaps try this for a bit longer...
