Josh needed some air tonight, and he couldn't think of a better place to be than as far away from his home as possible. So tonight he found himself at Barton Town Square with Casper in tow. It was to be honest more like a park though. It had trees and benches lined here and there for other's comfort. It even had a lovely fountain in the center of it all.
Casper, on the other hand, found this annoying. Ever since he had undergone changes into adulthood he had found himself unable to get his usual energy back. It may have something to do with the fact he had summoned a flaming skeleton horse while changing and still wasn't sure how to unsummon the beast yet. Then again it may be something else... right now Casper didn't care enough to think about it. All he was concerned with was getting a nap.

Josh found himself drawn to the fountain. It had been forever since he had seen it and surprisingly it had failed to be frozen over in the snowy weather. Josh made his way around to the first unoccupied bench he saw. From the distance he could make out two familiar forms seated in front of the fountain. "Yo, Ritz and Phfhin it's been awhile!" He shouted joyfully towards them.Casper's ears slunk low to his head. "So much for a nap..." He murmured dryly. Casper followed behind Josh slowly towards the two sitting at the fountain. "Hello..." Luckily he remembered his manners even in his lethargic stupor.

Josh smiled warmly at them and gave Ritz a polite hug in return. He wasn't expecting such a hello from the girl. "Well, it is nice to see you two!"
Casper chose to hover meekly behind Josh. He didn't feel like any confrontations today. He fluffed up in the large winter coat he happened to be wearing in an attempt to hide even more.

Josh looked behind himself to see Casper nearly bundle up into a ball of coat. "He seems to be down today though. Being anti social?" He prodded at Casper. Casper sighed at the sudden attention and kept quiet for as long as he could. "Yes.." He chose to leave his master's side and float closer to where Phfhin was. She seemed just as energetic as he was today... he was relieved to say the least.

Josh watched blankly as Casper floated off. The atmosphere must have been to lively for him here. "I guess those two must be tired?" He said boredly. "This isn't how they usually meet." He laughed lightly.Casper ignored Phfhin's expression and 'sat' down next to her quietly. He then proceeded to stare into space somberly. As a matter of fact, he was having trouble just fighting off sleep right now.

Josh jumped in surprise and hit the ground with a crunch as the snowball was slung at him. It made its way over to the two sitting on the ground and landed just over their heads narrowly avoiding a collision with Casper. Casper reacted with a soft snore as he tipped over into the snow. He grumbled as his face met the cold and he was taken out of his light slumber. He looked up only to see Josh laughing and Phfhin fretting over some unknown threat. He yawned softly and allowed his head to fall back into the blanket of snow.

Josh walked over and politely offered a hand to Ritz so he could help her up. "Heh, good thing then..." He smiled and gave off a few laughs at Ritz position on the ground. He had thought the benches wee more secure than this. Casper's ears twitched softly and flicked around at the different noises coming from Josh, Ritz and even Phfhin. Meanwhile he kept snoring softly lost in another round of sleep. The cold didn't seem to be bothering him enough to make him move.
