Name: Ambriel Status: Child Type: Angelite Guardian: Remiyah Personality: A rather passionate scholar of sorts, she can seem to be quite a sophisticated young lady. Quite set in what she likes, it is difficult to sway her usually educated decisions upon the subject matter. Though she can seem to prefer all the more refined things in life, she can also appreciate and enjoy the simpler things life has to offer. Doesn't seek artificial relations, but seeks the more meaningful ones that would offer her what she would want. Good attributes: Quite level-headed and observant, is able to thoroughly explain herself, quite determined in what she sets out to do, looks to the deeper meaning of everything. Bad attributes: Cannot usually see past things due to her set ways, prefers educated decisions over emotional ones, can seem overly aloof. Markings: No marks or breaks Special properties: Gifted with music, Ambriel can emit song from her horn upon her own will. Yet even the song which plays, though soft, has unique properties in itself. It would seem that this song has a tendency to bring luck to those around. The song cannot do anything more than bring good luck to a situation (thus, it cannot bring bad luck, or have any siren-type abilities). Height: 3.8" Intelligence- 63 Health- 48 Speed- 42 Weapons- None yet Charisma- 60 Dexterity- 40 Strength- 39 Endurance- 44

A letter from a stranger arrives at your doorstep-
Remiyah, Congradulation on finding your Reliquiant. You have been given a most wonderful gift. As the new Guardian of Angelite, I leave you with some information that might aid you in the exploration of your new responsibility, I wish you all the luck and joy. ~Owner of the Restful Relic Inn
Mythology- Angelite, also known as Anhydrite originally came from Mexico, Peru, Germany and New Mexico. Angelite is believed to be helpful in telepathic communication. If two people wished to be connected in that way while they were physically apart, they could each carry pieces of angelite. As its name suggests, it helps in communication with angels. You can also use it to connect with your animal spirit guides.

Things often happen when you least expect them to...
The Finding:
A stone of angels...
Doesn't that just sound *sigh* heavenly? I didn't even know such a stone existed until a few days ago.
Angelite...that's what the stone was called. Or so the letter said. Little did I know this stone would change my life forever...
It had just been a normal trip, or so I thought. A driving trip. Just the thought of those long hours spent behind the wheel staring out the windshield in a bored daze, wondering what in the world made me agree to undergo this silent torture makes me blanche. But for some reason this morning I had a "change of heart." I dont know what type of coffee I had that morning, but whatever is was made me want to drive somewhere. Now that I'm 10 hours from home, I deeply regret that decision. I'm going to go home and dump ALL my coffee. It must have been the sugar I added...teh EVIL!
I had music blasting through the stereo, but I had long stopped listening to it once I had passed the 3rd replaying of the same CD. I couldn't stop listening to the music, or else the buzzing silence would make my eardrums blow themselves. Enjoying the scenery was out of the question; how do you "enjoy" 100 miles of desert?
I think I was somewhere in the middle of New Mexico...but I couldn't be too sure. Flat desert as far as the eye can see in all directions made it somewhat difficult to get an idea of my location. No one else was on the road, which might have been a good thing. I could just imagine the number of weird looks I'd receive cruising down an empty highway at 80mph blasting some Japanese love song, singing along to words I didn't even understand.
So, anyways, during my karaoke rendition of Utada Hikaru, I was rudely interrupted by a series of small explosions, large crackles, ending with a droning, high-pitched whine...all of which emanated from the front of my poor car. Great, I break down in the middle of the friggin desert.
After banging my head repeatedly against the back of my chair in between grunts of frustration, I slowly got out of the car and popped the hood. WHOOSH!! I coughed as the smoke filled my eyes and lungs. I couldn't see! Now I don't know about you, but if your world suddenly went black and gray, would that not be something to panic about?
"AHH!! MY EYES!! THEY BUUUURRRNN!!" I promptly began screaming and running around blindly (literally) in circles. Fortunately for my sake, before anyone could drive by and observe my insanity, I tripped. Yes, I tripped...in the SAND. Or at least I thought I did. It's a little hard to tell when you can't even see the ground you've just face planted in. After moaning in pain for a little while, I lifted my head from the dirt and opened my eyes to see...more sand.
But I could see! It was a miracle! Flipping myself over to see what I could have possibly tripped over, all I found was a small rock the size of my thumbnail. It was turquoise, shiny, smooth, and overall a very pretty rock in general. How the hell did I trip on that thing? Finally pushing myself up from the ground, I was about to return to my car, which had finally stopped smoking, when I got this...feeling. You know, one of -those- feelings. Like that feeling when you pass something in a store and you suddenly just HAVE to have it. That feeling that chants, "I...must...have" over and over in your head. For some reason (maybe that coffee still hadn't worn off), I just HAD to have this rock.
So I picked the little thing up, and wouldn't you know it, as soon as the rock was in my hand my car engine started. Just a little creepy, ne? Well, considering I was dying to get out of that scorching desert I wasn't paying much attention to the "creepy" factor. But all the way home, I had this weird feeling. Not the same one as earlier, but a different one; like as if someone else were with me in that car. I quickly shook it off, paranoia isn't good for the mental state.
I finally made it home, left the rock in the car, ran in the house, collapsed on my bed, and went to sleep. The next morning I woke up to the overenthusiastic radio person, exclaiming something about the weather. I sluggishly made my way to the kitchen, wanting some nice, strong coffee with NO sugar added whatsoever. Sugar does things to the brain I swear...
Wiping the sleep from my eyes, I pour the coffee into my mug and threw myself into a chair next to my kitchen table, where the rock and a letter sat there waiting for me. I stared at the two objects that had somehow made it into my house, blinking sleepily, then looked down at my coffee, trying to distinctly remember if I added any sugar. Damn...I may have to take the cream out too. How had that rock gotten inside? And what was the letter? Seeing that the letter wouldn't answer itself, I decided to open it:
Remiyah, Congratulations on finding your Reliquiant. You have been given a most wonderful gift. As the new Guardian of Angelite, I leave you with some information that might aid you in the exploration of your new responsibility, I wish you all the luck and joy. ~Owner of the Restful Relic Inn
A Reliquiant, huh? Angelite? What the heck was this letter talking about? Restful Relic Inn...I need to look this place up...

June 27, 2005:
Alright...I've FINALLY figured out what I'm supposed to do with my rock--*ahem* I mean Reliquiant. So basically after a while my Angelite is going to evolve into a child. Oh my god...I'm only 16!! How am I of all people supposed to support a child?! Ohgodohgodohgod *hyperventilates*...
Alright, let's calm down for a minute. I've still got a while with the stone before it changes on me. Well, you're probably thinking that since it's going to turn into a child, I -should- name it. I'm already two steps ahead of you. I did some research on the stone, well, more like used the information LizzyMoo gave me. This stone represents communication, especially with angels. That's a plus right there, I've been doing research on angels for a while...
So, I pull up my old friend Google and search away on "angelic" names. Fortunately, one appeared that was perfect for the cause. Ambriel. The name of the angel of communication. Perfect, ne? Hopefully I don't give the poor thing a complex when she (yes, I found out she also has a gender) turns into a child. I should lay off on the angel history...
I also learned that I'm supposed to give Ambriel a series of tests, basically a way to find more about her before she evolves to a child. Well, I thought I might as well get started. Tests are best done quickly, as they are evil. They remind me of school...It's summer vacation, NO ONE should be taking tests *cries*. Lemme see if I can make this interesting in -any- way. Oh! I know! If we're able to test them on anything...*evil grin*
Time to go searching through that old bunch of electronic junk. FOUND IT! I pulled out my ps2 from the mass of wires. If I'm supposed to be administrating a test, I might as well make it fun. Let's see first what type of video games (if any *crosses fingers*) Ambriel might like...Video Game Test
Blank TV screen Xenosaga Kingdom Hearts Final Fantasy X-2 Ark of Napishtim .hack//infection Enter the Matrix Crimson Tears
Video games...*drools*. I can only hope Ambriel likes at least one of these (*cough*Xenosaga*cough**hack*Heh...one can dream). Lord knows how much time I stay glued to that ps2 controller...

June 28, 2005:
Note to self: NEVER pull an all-nighter playing video games the night before a class. My ambition to expose Ambriel to as many games as possible in one sitting has now landed me sitting, half-asleep, in my UNIX course. Of course, I decided to bring Ambriel along in my pocket. If I have to go through the boring torture...so will she. I also thought I might as well expose her to the other classes here...just to see what type of subjects she likes. Yay! Test time! School Test Computers Math Science Religion History Foreign language English
I'll add more to this later when I don't have a teacher breathing down my neck ninja

June 28, 2005:
Well, I finally got the test results back for the first two tests. Seems like Ambriel likes large RPGs for video games ((must stock up on these ninja )). I find it interesting, the results for the subject test though. The results fit perfectly with the description. There was nothing she hated, so that's good for me. Obviously, religion was a plus, as she is said to be an angelic stone. I should gather up all my old books on philosophy, which are somewhere in a box...
English and foreign language made sense as well. Angelite represents communication, and therefore would love anything to do with communication. Foreign language...I wish I had paid more attention in French...
Anyways, enough on past tests. Today, Ambriel got exposed to one of my old favorite hobbies: breedables creation. I happened to be walking around today with Ambriel in my pocket again. I had been debating about getting a job in breedables, but I wasn't too sure if I could handle the work. This morning I finally decided that if I wanted to get things for Ambriel when she grew into a child, I would have to get a job. Therefore, I went job searching with Ambriel...which brings me to another test! I wondered which jobs Ambriel would like, so I made a test: Job Test Colorist Lineartist Roleplay manager Shop Owner
Meh...it's a short test, but oh well. All the while, I had this feeling...-that- feeling again. The paranoia one. But this time I felt...emotions. Excitement, curiosity, wonder...Maybe Ambriel could do more than just sit there an be a rock. I'll have to ask about this later ninja . Well, I finally found a job with someone selling angelic foxes. Hopefully I can make a decent amount of gold with that job...
After I secured my financial future, I decided to take Ambriel around the different stores. There were so many different creatures, it gave me another test idea. What kind of animals did Ambriel like?Animal Test Cats Dogs Rabbits Foxes Wolves Birds Angelic creatures Demonic creatures Horses Cute creatures Formless creatures Miscellaneous creatures
Well I've had my share of exploring today. Judging from the feelings of exhaustion from the angelite, I'm guessing Ambriel has too. Hopefully I can keep coming up with more test ideas...these are getting hard O_o.

June 29, 2005:
Well, I've finally gotten around to getting Ambriel some friends with what little gold I have left. It seems that from her animals test she loves foxes, which is perfect. The two pets I bought are both foxes. One is a little orange and white Anger Fox named Rhea:
She came from a shop called 7 Deadly Sins. Apparently she's a pirate fox that embodies the deadly sin of anger O_o. Right now she just sleeps around the house, and I actually haven't seen much of her anyways. Ambriel hasn't come into contact with her yet, and that may be a good thing. Anger is seen as a detriment to communication, so those two might not get along so well sweatdrop . But still, it's a fox! Eh...maybe I screwed up on this one...
The other one is still at the shop, as he hasn't been born yet. It's an angelic fox that will be named Ambrai once we receive him. I work at the shop he'll come from, so the owner said I could have him for free. I can't wait til I bring him home. I can only imagine what he will look like *dreams*. Being that this is an angelic fox, not one that goes around pilaging, Ambriel should be able to bond with this one...hopefully.
Well, hmm, I sat at my desk tonight wondering what to test Ambi (her temporary nickname unless she tells me otherwise later) on next. I just sat there thinking. There were so many topics to choose from, and I needed to find the most insightful to get a good idea. As I thought I noticed the sun setting in the distance outside my window, and the sky slowly turning to night. Ding! Then it hit me. What time of day does Ambi like best I wonder?Time of Day Test Morning Daytime Dusk Nightime
Meh...it's another really short test. In that case I'll just come up with a second one to make up for it. So, back to thinking. To pass the time I turned on the radio. Ambi was in my pocket at the time. I smiled as My Immortal by Evanescence began to play...I love that song. I was getting so into the words that I almost missed the warmth growing in my pocket. Then it hit me again, Ambi was reacting to music! Test time! Music Test Silence Classical Rock Soft Rock Movie Soundtracks Anime/Game Soundtracks Foreign music (anything other than English) Country Pop Techno/Trance/Dance DDR Rap Jazz
Phew, there's so many genres @_@. My ears are all blown out now from listening to all that music, but due to the faint, detached happiness I'm feeling that isn't mine, I can tell Ambi is happy. I can only wonder what she liked best...*stares at enormous collection of game/anime soundtracks*. Eh...I may have to restock on my CDs sweatdrop ...

July 1, 2001:
Phew, I didn't get a chance to post yesterday O_o. Busy, busy, busy. That's what I've been...busy. I've been working in the winged fox shop all this time. Those little pups are so adorable. I can't wait to bring Ambrai home. I've got almost everything worked out. I just need his tag and he'll be ready to come on home. Oh, Ambi'll just HAVE to love him. Anyways, so what else has gone on these past few days.
I got back the last few test results. Ambi didn't seem to like ANY time of day, except dusk and nighttime a little bit. I can tell she's probably not going to be a morning person...And the music test results, oh GOD what am I going to do?! Good news: she likes foreign music, techno, and classical. Bad news: she hates anime and game music (*stares at massive collection of game/anime soundtracks* What will I do gonk ?!) and likes...JAZZ. Jazz?! Where am I supposed to get JAZZ music?! I don't even like jazz music gonk . I guess I'll just have to go get some...
Well, I learned an interesting piece of information the other day. I had been wondering what it would take to turn Ambi into a child. My answer was that I needed a LOT more tests, and I needed to find a catalyst. Hmm...a catalyst. I need to work on that. Once I find out more about this catalyst I shall begin searching for it. As for tests, I can add more here. First off, a color test. It's probably the simplest test, and one that I had somehow skipped over O_o. Well, here it is:Color Test Blue Purple Red Orange Gold Green White Black Silver
Simple, ne? I'm just trying to spit out more and more tests. I've got to make them insightful, so that I can get to know Ambi a little bit better. I'll post another test or two tomorrow. Hopefully I can also get some more information on this catalyst ninja .

((*beats self with a stick* I'm so sorry for not posting in so long gonk . I've been so busy lately @_@...))
July 24, 2004:
Oh my, I haven't written in here in a long while. Busy, busy, busy. All work and no play makes Remi a dull girl...and one that can't remember to write in her journal. Well, this entry means lots to talk about and lots of tests to fill out. Firstly, I've started remodeling the only other bedroom I have for Ambi. Being that she likes blue, I've painted the walls a nice light shade of pale blue. I got a bed with gold colored sheets and a darker blue quilt. I'm currently scrounging funds for other bedroom accessories. The only other thing so far in that room is a small stereo and a pathetic collection of jazz cds. I know this is all a little premature, but I'd rather have this room finished when Ambi grows into a child...rather than having her grow into one without a decent place to sleep other than the sad excuse for a couch in my living room. Hmmm...this brings me to another test idea:Favorite Place in the House Test Living Room Her bedroom My bedroom Kitchen Bathroom Hallways Laundry Room
Well, besides remodeling, what else have I been up to? Visiting relatives, that's what. Yes, you know...family. Long, hot, boring road trips to various relatives' homes across the country...yes, country. First stop, California to visit my parents. After spending a few days there (being that I couldn't find much to do there other than sit around the house watching TV), I hopped back in the car (*shudders*) and made my way across half the nation to get to Texas. Texas...in July. Hot, muggy, humid Texas. Well, Houston at least. Spent a day at my granny and grandpa's. Ambi was with me the whole way of course, though I don't have a clue as to how she could stand the heat on top of the stuffiness of my pant's pocket. So after getting a good meal there, went off to visit my cousins in Austin. I have many cousins there. They live near a very large lake, and they spend lots of time outdoors. We really had a lot of fun, but some of the activities were a little too demanding for me. So after getting my butt kicked in paintball for the umptieth time (carefully avoiding shots to my side pocket which held poor Ambi), I decided it was probably time for me to move on. But speaking of paintball, I have another test idea (gotta make up for all the ones I missed this month):Summer Outdoor Activity Test Paintball Soccer Boating Water skiing Swimming Playing in trees Riding golfcarts Basketball Swings Nothing to do with outdoors
Now that I was able to get out of Texas, I made my way all the way to the other end of the country...New York. Very, very busy place. I had enough trouble just trying to navigate through Manhattan. So many people, and lights, and places, and freaky people walking the streets (wait no...that's San Francisco...sorry!). I was able to visit my aunt and uncle there. My cousins were either at work or on their way to college, so I didn't get a chance to see them at all. But, being that I probably wouldn't be going back to New York anytime soon, I thought it would be a good time to show Ambi around the place. It felt kind of weird, showing a rock all the sites...like the Empire State building, Ground Zero, and Trump Tower (shh...I'm an Apprentice fan). I also thought maybe seeing a few musicals would be nice. So after sitting through a few of them with Ambi, I thought it would be a good idea to test on it:Musical Test Phantom of the Opera Rent Mamma Mia Caroline or Change Starlight Express Cats Les Miserables
There would have been more, except that I kinda ran out of money. Well, I'll continue this story later, when I have more time to write. Rhea, my little anger fox, is ripping up my couch again... [to be continued]
((I actually didn't go on any trips...yet @_@, but I have been busy IRL. ))
