The question of how or why she came, from what society deems, an orphan, is one question she can't or won't answer. While Chloe did have somewhere she could go that provided a safe place to sleep and at least two hot meals a day - the young girl spent most of her days on the streets, this was how most in her position learned how to eventually develop a backbone. And Chloe herself, was one that you wouldn't call violent, if the situation called for it - she wouldn't be scared to show how cruel she can be but one thing, to her credit, the last thing Chloe would do is take a life for the fun of it. Cause after all, Chloe will never be the type of girl that would want any male to think she needs a knight in shining armour to save her. But that's beside the point here. :tab: You see, Chloe never saw herself as a 'computer geek' but who would of thought that Chloe would take to a computer like a duck takes to water? Or that the girl would discover, by accident that she had the knack for hacking into other systems? It would be through trial and error that Chloe would build on these skills - as the old saying goes, Rome wasn't a built in a day and neither was perfecting Chloe's hacking skills to where she could hack any system in the world and no one would know they had just been hacked. Now, most in Chloe's position probably would realize just how much damage they could cause with these skills alone - or how much they could make off of offering their skills to the highest bidder. Maybe these thoughts did cross Chloe's mind? Or maybe they didn't - hard to know exactly what someone in Chloe's position would be thinking. :tab: Either way, at that moment in her life, owning sometime like a laptop to earn any kind of income was not considered an essential for survival - other things like food and clothing would always take first priority. And once you reach that 1-8 birthday, well, let's say, your no longer considered something that the state needs to spend their delicate resources on to keep alive anymore. This would be a harsh reality for any orphan that wasn't mentally prepared to enter that cruel place we call the real world. Yet for Chloe, she welcomed this freedom with open arms - no longer was she trapped in a place she hated with a passion but she was free to live her life how she wanted. And first thing on her agenda, was to get her hands on a laptop - any old laptop would do at the moment since as long as it worked, she could hack and this meant she could earn an income. :tab: She never questioned the reasons why those that contracted her wanted the things they wanted done, this was none of her business. All that was on her mind with each job, was she did what was requested and she got paid for her services - all would be well with her and the client parting ways. None the wiser to who the other party was - since of course, Chloe was not that stupid to ever agree to meet who ever contracted her in the flesh. Everything was done anonymous over secure connections and lines, Chloe would never take the chance and route most of her activities via various devices to hide her identity for her safety. But now, her newest client has requested for her to use her skills to aid people that have these powers, talk about a joke? Are they seriously having a laugh here? Through the idea is intriguing - for right now, Chloe will do as this client asks but if things get to the stage where Chloe feels things are getting too dangerous for either party, she will not be scared to pull the plug and walk away.
