Why:Cause they can....and Adonis is lurve rigth, so...yeah

"Hey, Rei, this isn't so bad now is it?" Crystal smiled at the tawny kitten who had insisted on crawling on her shoulder, looking around with wide, alert eyes. "The park. As long as you promise not to run, I'll let you down."

Rei was a bundle of energy, quivering with excitement. This was the furthest from home he'd ever been, and his human promising to let him down was more of a thrill than he could bear. He mewled a few times, begging to be put down.

Crystal laughed, carefully picking up the kitten cradling him as she sat on a beneath one of the trees - unwittingly behind another woman and her kitten. She put Rei down, watching him sternly.

FREEDOM! Rei was ecstatic, bounding in the strange stiff grass that was far more unyielding than the stuff at home. Oh, it didn't matter, he was FREE!

Crystal couldn't see the woman or her kitten, being on the otherside of the tree, but she could see Rei bouncing around like a fool. It made her laugh again, shaking her head as she watched him with the fondness of a mother.

The male was beside himself with joy. If he could sing, he would, and the inability to do so didn't stop him from trying. He purred with all his heart, dropping his head into the grass before rolling on his side, squirming around with all fours in the air. Rei was making quite a show of himself, but he really didn't mind.

Rei stopped squirming, legs still spread eagle in the air, his large eyes turned upwards towards the mewl. Was there another cat here? More than that, was it one like him, who knew what he was?

Crystal blinked at the mewl that was not her kitten, looking over to see Adonis. She started to smile and nearly jumped when the bench fell. Grinning now, she offered in a friendly voice, "Good afternoon!"

Crystal peered at the other woman. Had they met? She DID look familiar, but she seemed more interested in the cat right now. The girl watched the interactions, a bemused smile on her lips.

Rei blinked up at the human looming over him, uttering a tiny mewl of question. Her voice was familiar, and it brought very vague memories of warmth, but he didn't know who she was. He batted at her hand playfully, careful not to use his claws, purring all the while. Well. If she wanted to lavish her love upon him, he would be more than happy to get reaquainted!

"That's where I've seen you!" Crystal quipped, surprised. "I'm sorry, I'm so bad with names and faces." She crinkled her nose, berating herself for having forgotten her kitten's mother's owner. Josh would surely laugh at her for that! Before she could say anymore, she saw the other kitten, who looked so dejected that it made her heart hurt. The girl inched around the tree, tentively reaching out to see if Adonis would let her pet him. "Hey there handsome," she said softly.

The kitten was delighted, as was obvious by the loud lawn-mower purr that he had and the squinted eye expression that happy-cats had. Phfhin...that name was familiar! His human said it sometimes, but he never really paid much attention. There were so many interesting things to do, like attack her bedspread or chase Rohan around the house, why would he care to remember what Crystal said? Those thoughts easily slipped away, quite consumed by the nice lady and the pleasant way she was speaking to him. He mewled his agreement, trying to be cute for more attention.

Crystal gently pet the small kitten, scratching him behind the ear before petting his full length. He was so precious! "Is this fine baby like Rei?" she asked curiously. He displayed intelligence, so she thought it was safe to assume that he was, but she'd rather not assume anything. It was safer that way.

Rei issued a mewl that sounded funny simply because he was purring at the same time, so it came out like a 'rrrorrwl.' He tilted his head, his own head-piece pressed against his furry little brow, using his paw to try and hold her attention to him. He was QUITE the attention hog, and he'd lavish in all the time he could garner. The kitten head-butted Ritz with glee, letting her know he was thankful and enjoyed her affection.

The kitten mewled again, resisting the urge to spring back onto his feet and dash at the bell. Indeed, he'd like nothing more than to run off with it, throw it in the air and catch it, run again--oh but it was so shiny! He batted at the air in anticipation, squirming on his back with innocent abandon.

"Adonis, that's a fitting name. Cupid has nothing on you, cutie," Crystal giggled at the pink kitten. She shifted her hand to his stomach, petting him gently; Rei loved to be pet on the stomach, but it had to be his idea, or else she'd get clawed. She certainly didn't want to upset the adorable kitten she was next to, so she played it careful and safe. The girl giggled, unable to contain her bubbling warmth at how cute he was.
