A: Because the lineart was nice and the price was right. I bought the shop in an auction and redid it; that's why it says '2.0'. I'm lazy, quite honestly, and though I could've, I didn't want to draw my own lineart. -laughs-

Island
General
Nzige are good-sized canines, shoulder-height to your hip if you're short. They are mostly loving, good companions. I began finding them in the wild a few years ago, and started keeping them as pets. They're also quite easy to communicate with, as they respond well to human body language and voice tone.
Stages
Nzige have 3 stages, for the most part. As newborns, they're very young and extremely vulnerable, and so they spend most of the time in their den. Because of this, you can rarely see them- if you're lucky, you can just make out their eye colour.
However, your companion grows quickly into a bouncing little pup- very playful, and sometimes quite mischevious. Males and females now look distinctly different. [Forgive the obvious mistake- I was rushing. xD]
The last stage is, of course, adult. Fully matured Nzige are beautiful creatures, and often have intricate markings and patterns on their fur. They are now able to mate.

Customs go for a flat rate of 10K for a puppy (there's no point to starting as a newborn, since the surprise is gone), or 6k for an adult. They are classified as common; you cannot request a "tiger" Nzige, for instance

RP is not required for your Nzige; however, the RP board is the only place where special events happen. But it is your choice, and only your choice, whether you're going to raise your Nzige like a domestic dog (no RP), or let it run wild with it's kind (RP).
Unfortunately, Okaza is a completely domesticated Nzige-- she helps me around the shop quite often, but I'm afraid her heart's just not in the pack life.

Nzige Behaviour
Nzige behave together much like wolf packs do in the wild, with few exceptions. These structured groups are called clans, and may reach great numbers in size. A female is usually in charge of the group, and so down. These are not aggressive creatures, but personalities may clash. In such a case where one Nzige is in the position to kill another, it's best to intervene.
Nzige can go hunting if they choose, but it's usually not based on need, as a nutritionally enhanced meat mexture is brought to the forest often by Island. There are, in the forest, your average small rodents and birds, along with the occasional weasel or rabbit.

Special Events
Special Events are very common, but they vary in degrees of what they do and why they're used. They may change your Nzige's appearance/cert/mindset (but these are rare), or perhaps it was solely to move along the RP. These events only happen in the RP thread, and if you get one, you'll know it.

Breeding costs 6k; 3k from each owner. Each pairing can produce from 2-4 pups, and each owner gets to keep one of their choice. The rest, if there are any, will be sold here, in the main shop.

Single Reproduction
A single Nzige can produce offspring of it's own through genetic manipulation, but it's quite a bit more costly than usual- 6k per pup. It will bear a similar appearance to it's parent, with random traits as well.
